It Girls Will Flip for Gucci's New Shoes
First it was Gucci's fur-lined loafers, and then its metallic mules. Now, the brand is releasing its latest over-the-top embellished footwear, titled the Queercore collection. The footwear was inspired by the gay punk movement of the mid-1980s, with studs, buckles, and straps as focal points for the collection. Also featured on the heel of the pumps is the snake emblem we've seen across the brand's clothing and accessories for a few seasons now.
Since Alessandro Michele took the helm as Gucci's creative director, the brand's punchy accessories have become a favorite among fashion's biggest trendsetters, launching an eye-catching obsession perfect for the Instagram era. Sure, the signature shoes in bold reds, blues, and golds look good on an It girl IRL, but they look great on camera. You can bet you'll soon see the brand's latest footwear collection in your feed.
Read on for a look at the latest footwear collection, and to shop the styles yourself!
