Gigi Hadid Reveals the Packing Mistake She Never Makes

Gigi Hadid travels a lot. You're probably already aware of her knack for standout airport style—she can pull off everything from an army jacket–and-jeans look to a sheer dress while traveling. Given her crazy schedule, it should come as no surprise that she's also mastered the art of packing for a trip.

In a new interview with Harper's Bazaar UK, Hadid talked about the one packing rule she lives by: avoiding checked bags. "I try to only travel with carry-on at all times," she told the magazine. "I pretty much spend half my life at the airport, so checking in bags is just going to add more onto that."

She went on to explain exactly what she fills her luggage with. "My essentials? I always pack jeans and one other pair of trousers—either white denim or leather—and then T-shirts, a pair of boots, a pair of sneakers, a sweater and a jacket," she told the magazine. We happen to agree: Save yourself the headache of checking your bags and you'll never dread the airport again (hopefully)!

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
