When it comes to trainers, Nike and Adidas are the ones you'll see every time you leave the house, thanks to classic styles like Gazelles, Air Max Theas and Stan Smiths. But these aren't the only sports brands to revisit retro trainer designs, as Gigi Hadid proves in a pair of old-school Reeboks.
As the face of Reebok, it's not surprising that these have been Gigi's trainers of choice this year, and in New York City over the weekend, she proved that the "ugly" clompy trainer styles are having a moment. These shoes might remind you of the type of trainers you wore to P.E. classes in the '90s, but our favourite street style stars keep wearing them—and definitely outside of the gym.
Gigi wore her Reebok Classic red trainers with suede detailing over the shoe and a white sole with cropped pinstripe trousers to show off her statement sneaks, an oversize navy cardigan and (her favourite) matching bright red cat-eye sunglasses by Le Specs.
