Gigi Hadid Just Wore the 2017 Version of Skinny Jeans and Ballet Pumps

Trust Gigi Hadid to take one of the most established outfit combinations of the past few decades and enliven it to the highest degree. Who knew that we'd take so much interest right now in a pair of skinny jeans and some ballet pumps? But here we are, truly inspired on a Monday morning to fall back upon those trusty pieces and allow them to be updated into 2017 territory.

Of course, like any perfect Gigi-related getup, there are small tweaks that ensure its greatness. The skinny jeans are no ordinary skinny jeans, but rather the reworked, higher-waisted, true-blue, raw-hemmed kind of skinny jeans that you've probably adopted over the past year. And then the ballet pumps: This simple noughties-adored shoe style has been amped up for flat shoe–loving girls of the modern age with extra detailing, polished pointed toes, slingbacks, lace-up ties, and decadent fabrications.

You name it, there's a pair of ballet pumps that lives up to it. To add further sophistication to a supposedly "basic" outfit, the model flung on a long, green, tailored military-style coat and added some reflective sunnies (what else?) and a white leather bag.
