Winter's "Ugliest" Shoe Trend Is Here, and TBH You'll Love or Hate It
It's been a minute since there was a new, significant "ugly" shoe trend on the scene, but that's set to change this winter. One of the most prominent shoe trends on the fall 2023 runways—which also made multiple appearances on the spring 2024 runways—was furry shoes. And we're not just talking subtly furry. We're talking about over-the-top, spot-them-from-a-mile-away furry.
Leading the furry-shoe charge on the fall 2023 runways were Gucci, Stella McCartney, and Givenchy, to name a few. And on the market, you'll find plenty more furry shoes among the current mix at Loewe, Burberry, Khaite, and Prada. Basically, pretty much every trend-forward luxury brand is on board. Once you get a visual, it'll be easy to see that the somewhat polarizing trend is actually quite chic and will add a fun touch to whatever outfit it's paired with.
Scroll on to see what all the hype is about (via the runway and the streets) and shop the chicest furry shoes of the season.
