Don't Worry, Darling—We Got Florence Pugh's Entire Venice Makeup Breakdown
For the past 24 hours, all anyone can talk about is the Don't Worry Darling premiere at the Venice Film Festival. Twitter (as well as my group text) has been abuzz with images of Chris Pine's facial expressions during the presser, theories about who is or isn't feuding, and rumors that will have you doing a spit take.
Putting all of that aside for a second, it's time to focus on the glam. Florence Pugh, the movie's star, arrived at the red carpet glittering from head to toe in a showstopping Valentino ensemble. To complement her silver-sequined black gown, the star's makeup artist, Alex Babsky, went for a neutral soft-glam look. It's only fitting that Babsky opted for a bevy of Valentino beauty products to complete her outfit. Scroll below for the full breakdown, which consists of only six products.
In a press release, Babsky shared that he chose this foundation to give Pugh a skin-finish look that wasn't too heavy for daytime.
Bronzer is the star of the show for Pugh's skin. To sculpt and add warmth, Babsky swept this powder across Pugh's hairline and cheekbones and on her eyelids for a fluid look.
Babsky used this double-ended liner to give Pugh's eyes a "vintage" shape. After application, he smudged it out to keep the makeup diffused.
Let's be honest: Pugh has incredible eyebrows that don't need a lot of help. To define them further, Babsky used this brow liner to brush them up and fill in any sparser areas.
Fluttery lashes are a red carpet must. This mascara is smudge-proof and gives lashes up to 15 times more volume, so it's perfect for a high-impact look like Pugh's.
Never underestimate the power of the perfect nude lipstick. Babsky shared that he chose this neutral color because it gives "polish" to her look without overpowering anything else.
