This Sustainable Denim Line Only Makes One Style and I’m Convinced I Need It
Here at the Who What Wear Australia office, jeans are a staple (to say the least). On any given day, you’ll likely find at least one of our editors sporting the classic pant—and I must admit, I reach for my trusty jeans nearly every day. Sure, I change things up by going for different colours and cuts, but after seeing the new jeans made by FEEL, I’m converted to the idea that there’s only one style you really need.
With an aim to create a jean that could be dressed up or down, the brand’s Australian founder, Stevie Dance, has designed a pair of jeans that not only look good, but also feel great. And if you’ve ever suffered a full day of a too-tight waistband—or the annoyance of constantly pulling up jeans that stretched out a little too much—you know the importance of a perfect fit. So what could be better: Jeans that fit perfectly and are adaptable for any outfit? I’m sold.
Another added bonus is one that hits pretty close to home: Sustainability. After learning that the fashion industry is the world’s second largest polluter after only oil and gas, I’ve been veering away from fast fashion, opting instead for brands that align with my values. And luckily for me, FEEL does. In addition to producing their jeans locally in small batches in California, the brand also washes the denim with organic softeners and zero toxic chemicals. Even the packaging is biodegradable! A quick scroll through the brand’s site also indicates that this sustainable focus isn’t just a marketing ploy, as they even provide educational information about how to recycle old jeans and list creative ways to reuse the package that the jeans come in.
Needless to say, as a denim fanatic, these have definitely piqued my interest—and for good reason. It’s hard enough to find jeans that fit well and feel good, but add to that the brand’s sustainable focus, and FEEL has me obsessed already. Yes, I’ve already gone through the fit guide (which takes you through a step-by-step process and is very helpful), so I’m guessing it’s only a matter of time before I crack and make the purchase. If you’re as intrigued as I was, keep scrolling to see the one style that FEEL is betting on. While your at it, I also suggest you check out the brand’s website—but don’t blame me if the testimonial videos have you suddenly reaching for your wallet.
