Fearne Cotton's Short Hair Looks Amazing Thanks to These 5 Products

There's been no shortage of fashion girls and celebrities making me want to cut all my hair off recently, but there's one famous face who's really tempting me to take the plunge since she chopped off her own strands back in June: Fearne Cotton. Yes, not only has the TV presenter been stepping out in covetable high-street minidresses, but she's also been dishing up major hair inspiration basically every time she leaves the house.

Courtesy of celebrity hairdresser Paul Percival, Fearne's blunt-cut bob caused Cotton to take to Instagram to declare that "once you've chopped, you can't stop," and I'd be inclined to agree if my hair looked as damn good as hers. But without a celeb stylist on hand, is it possible to re-create Fearne's effortless beach waves and choppy ends at home? Keep on scrolling to find out for yourself…

1. Hair Wand

Fearne's secret to great hair? "It's about looking undone and relaxed except it's taken a huge effort to do," she told Glamour. "I love to use a hair wand; my favourite is Babyliss; that's great for doing big curls that I then brush out loads for a super-textured finish."

2. Dry Shampoo

Rather than reaching for texturising sprays to add definition and movement to her short hair, Fearne uses dry shampoo. "I always use my fingers to add extra texture, and I swear by dry shampoo," she told Glamour.

3. Argan Oil

To keep her hair looking sleek and shiny in between washes, there are two products that Fearne relies on: argan oil and the aforementioned dry shampoo. "Sometimes I'll change it up and use some Moroccanoil or a dry shampoo for when I can't be bothered to wash my hair," she revealed to Prima.

4. Hair Colour

Fearne's blonde hair always looks so vibrant, and as a previous ambassador for Garnier, it's no surprise she credits the brand with helping her maintain her colour at home. "It's an Olia one, and it's made my hair so much shiner," Cotton told HuffPo. "It's bizarre. I didn't believe it could improve the condition, but it has. It seeps oil into your hair so it's really locked in and doesn't feel dry at all."

5. Shampoo

It's no shocker to swear by a shampoo, but I was delighted when Fearne spilt the beans on her favourite brand to Prima. "I actually use a lot of Bumble and Bumble," she said.
