I'm a Fashion Editor, and I Think These Spring Outfits Will Blow Up
As a fashion editor who’s been doing this gig for a minute (ahem, 10 years), it’s basically in my blood to perk up whenever I see a unique outfit. I often find myself pausing during an IG scroll or doing a double take IRL when someone passes in a stylish ’fit that feels forward yet effortless at the same time. In fact, I’ve been recently saving and screenshotting said ensembles for the last few weeks to share with my friends when they ask for new outfit ideas. And because I’d never want to leave you out, I’m sharing the top five looks in question with you as well.
The outfits coming your way are statement-making and push it just a bit. As a result, I have a feeling you'll see these types of ensembles more and more this season. So without further ado, here are the outfits (complete with shopping inspo) that are worth testing out come spring.
A statement jacket can go a long way. A pastel iteration like this stunner is so eye-catching on its own that it only requires a pair of cropped pants and ankle boots, and you have yourself a forward 'fit.
The juxtaposition of an edgy patent pencil skirt and a pretty floral blouse feels modern for the season—especially with contrasting patterned heels.
Tie-dye is the print of the season. Test out the trend in the form of a cool hoodie with shiny pants and chill accessories for a laid-back vibe.
Need to freshen up your favorite jeans? Embrace the toned-down, neutral look that's everywhere with a brown blazer bunched up and a tan sweater underneath.
I have a feeling we'll be seeing more and more lime green this season. I'm particularly into this look with the colorful pants with coordinating boots. The sleek trench coat polishes off the vibe.
Next, check out the outfit mistakes I've noticed over my 10-year fashion career.
