I Like My Staples Simple With a Hint of Trendiness—I'd Start With These Items
While I personally will go for more statement-making shoes and accessories, I typically prefer simple clothing pieces that have just a little something extra. There are some items in my closet that are more classic in nature (like a standard black turtleneck). But a lot of my other items are staples, in that they're incredibly versatile but have a trendier twist to keep them particularly modern. Do you often find yourself gravitating toward said pieces as well? Wonderful. You're going to be into what's coming your way.
Our namesake label Who What Wear Collection is filled with a range of those trend-ish items. Today, I'm rounding up some of the latest finds that I'd start with if I were putting together a shopping list of elevated, simple items for someone. As a preview, I'm talking about everything from forward-feeling knits to elevated tailoring silhouettes. Keep scrolling for all the visual and shopping inspiration you need.
Slouchy Knit
I'm all about this specific knit for the modern, slouchier fit. The button-up detail also feels current yet incredibly timeless.
Relaxed Suiting
A suit with this silhouette could easily become a new wardrobe staple. The slightly relaxed cut is particularly noteworthy. While you could wear the set, you could also mix and match the pieces.
Leather Trousers
Sure, your favorite jeans will always be front-runners, but if you want to switch it up, I'm all about a beautiful pair of vegan-leather pants for a forward vibe.
Coordinating Set
This matching set featuring a cropped shirt and loose trousers is quite chic.
Cutout Bodysuit
You can't deny the power of a solid bodysuit for a perfectly-tucked-in look. The cutout accent keeps this particular find feeling fresh.
Reworked White Blouse
A white blouse is timeless. This updated take on that classic pick is a standout in my eyes with the collar, seaming, and balloon sleeves.
Midi Skirt With a Slit
The slit and vegan-leather material take this midi skirt to the next level. You could easily dress these beauties up or down.
Oversize Sweatshirt
An oversize sweatshirt silhouette is not only more comfortable thanks to the roominess, but it's also cooler and more forward. If you really want to go for it, try the coordinating sweatpants.
