There are few things I love more than an eBay treasure hunt. If you give me a budget and a vague outfit idea, I can find the coolest version of it online. But hey, that's why they pay me the medium bucks, right? This skill makes me qualified to be a fashion editor, but even on my best days, I have to call in reinforcements. This week's water-cooler talk was all about pre-loved, vintage, and unique finds on our editors' radars for spring. Fringe jackets, slip dresses, bag charms, and vintage jeans are just a few items on the wish lists, and eBay has what we're looking for. So below, you'll find the items I'd spend my hard-earned money on, but you can also check out more of my co-workers' favorite eBay picks here.
First up: spring accessories and footwear. In terms of designer bags, we're prioritizing rectangular shapes inspired by Gucci's latest runway show. (Looking at you, oversize horsebits.) We're also jazzing up our bag collections with designer charms, like the Louis Vuitton one below, and colorful vintage silk scarves. For shoes, the '90s inspiration is going strong. Fisherman sandals and pointed-toe slingbacks are still all the rage—these versions are the favorites.
Moving on to spring apparel, there are a few trends to play into. For outerwear, anything with fringe or a funnel neck will do. For color trends, it's all about embracing more traditional spring palettes, such as pink and butter yellow. And thanks to Chloé, the boho revival is in full swing. I'll be participating with a ruffle-trim dress like the one I've found here. And last but not least, do yourself a favor and snag a pair of vintage Levi's, specifically, the men's 505s. These have the ultimate cool-girl, vintage feel.
