1. Elevated Basics

"Don't overlook basics. These are things that will become staples in your closet. At first glance, they may seem 'boring,' but ultimately, you'll turn to these items time and again when building looks throughout the year. These staples include blazers, tees, and jeans. A gap I often find in my customers' closets is ribbed shirts (tanks or long sleeves). These basics are everyday heroes, as they are great for layering, add texture, and have a lengthening effect." — Erika Handley

2. Ballet Flats and Mary Janes

"These timeless shoe silhouettes are making a splash with fashion It girls everywhere. We've seen them styled with everything from boxer shorts to wide-leg trousers and dresses. If you're feeling especially trendy, snag yourself a pair of mesh ballet flats." — Handley

3. Vests

"This third piece can be styled year-round and is an effortless way to level up your look. Currently, we are seeing it worn in place of a tank or a shirt. They come in a variety of styles, giving you the chance to play with proportions. A fitted vest looks phenomenal with a wide-leg pleated trouser. If you want a more relaxed silhouette, pair it with straight-leg denim and a ballet flat for the office and beyond." — Handley

4. Sandals

"Warm weather is here, and it is time to let your feet free! If you're traveling and the days ahead include a lot of walking, definitely get a sandal with a molded footbed. These will offer arch support and use soft leathers to make all-day walking a breeze." — Handley

5. Statement Jewelry

"Statement accessories—like sculptural earrings, pendants, and chains—are having a moment. These larger-than-life items are easy ways to take your jeans and tee to the next level." — Handley

6. Wool and Wool-Blend Items

"Granted, you can't wear these items immediately, but come cooler temps, you'll be so happy to have snagged these cold-weather staples for a steal. My favorites are heavier-knit cardigans because they stretch for comfort and have a polished shape. This makes them incredibly versatile, as you can wear them to travel, work, or dinner." — Handley
