As a baby New Yorker of only three years, I can’t help but love a good wardrobe refresh come fall and winter—especially when it’s during Nordstrom's Black Friday sale.

This year, I’m all about stocking up on timeless pieces that are both stylish and versatile thanks to my evolving sense of style after living in the Big Apple. New York women are known for their chic, understated style, often relying on classic silhouettes and neutral color palettes that never go out of fashion—items like slouchy sweaters, jeans, and well-made leather booties are all part of our wardrobe lexicon. Thankfully, they're also the items that are most deeply discounted during the Nordstrom Black Friday sale. I just spent the last three hours combing through Nordstrom's website to find the best deals. It's safe to say I hit the jackpot: My favorite brands like Madewell, Open Edit, and Free People are all part of this year's slashed prices.

Below, scroll through the best Nordstrom Black Friday deals on chic, classic items that are New York–editor approved. Believe me when I say you'll need to try hard to resist the temptation to add everything to your online cart.
