In the past several years, quiet luxury and minimalism have shifted style into a pared-back realm. Fashion has largely been centered around neutral palettes, tailoring, and somewhat androgynous designs. Recently, however, there has palpable shift. Last year, we saw the meteoric rise of elegant fashion with the return of pillbox hats, leather gloves, and A-line skirts. Looking ahead to the fall/winter 2025 collections, we saw ladylike, feminine fashion reframed by designers on the runways, which will have an impact on how we’re dressing.

At brands such as Prada, Miu Miu, and Givenchy, designers explored different notions of femininity through clothing, including emblems such as brooches, stoles, and bullet bras. The collections were brimming with car coats, lace-trimmed slip skirts, skirt suits, floral dresses, pumps, sheer hosiery, peplum shapes, and bow-embellished pieces—all items I feel inspired to integrate into my closet. Ahead, see a shopping list of the ladylike fashion pieces I’m eyeing.
