I Just Got Back From My First Trip To Paris—6 Trends I Saw Everywhere

french girl fall trends

This fall I had the pleasure of visiting Paris for the first time and after my trip I basically turned it into my whole personality. From late dinners at Fouquet's Pairs to days at The Lourve to my morning croissant, I have been day dreaming about my trip ever since I got back to New York. Another main part of my day dreams: all the chic trends I saw stylish Parisians wearing throughout my trip. Now that we are fully in the middle of fall and winter is just around the corner I have been thinking about which french girl trends I saw on my trip that I’ll be copying myself. I ended up with 6 that we’re so good it didn’t feel right to keep them to myself.

Keep scrolling to see which elevated fall/winter french-girl trends made my list.

Polka Dot Tights

Sheer tights are always in during the colder months but adding a subtle polka dot print adds a certain je ne c'est quoi. Style with a mini skirt and loafers during the day or pair with a sleek pair of pumps and an LBD at night for a slightly more seductive vibe.

Touches Of Lace

This romantic trend was everywhere out in the eveenings in then city of love. You can play with this trend as much as trying a whole lace outfit to as little as swapping your sheer tights for a lacier option. Their sultry nature take any outfit up a notch on the sexy scale, and feel perfect for the fall and winter months.

Wool Bucket Hat

Every chic Parisian has one or two wool bucket hats in their fall/winter 2024 wardrobe, and I see why. They’re easy to style with other great basics like a turtleneck or cashmere sweater and have a certain air of sophistication and trendiness all at the same time. Plus the fashion set are all obsessed with hats at the moment, so it’s a win win.

Burgundy Accessories

Burgundy, oxblood, bordeaux- whatever you want to call it, this deep shade of red is the ultimate accessory color for fall. French women everywhere we’re sporting a shoe, bag, hat, pair of tights, or sunglasses in this color. Instantly making any fall / winter outfit that much chicer. I personally can’t get enough of it.

Suede Jacket

A good suede jacket is a hero piece for any stylish french woman, and I for one love how they elevate even just a simple tee shirt and jeans outfit. While suede jackets can be pricey I found the chicest Zara one and linked it for you below, you’re welcome.

Leather Mini Skirt

Never underestimate the power of a good leather mini skirt. The perfect combination of cool and flirty. Style with a pair of tights and boots or heels for the evening or with a pair of loafers and a sweater during the day.
