This fall, I had the pleasure of visiting Paris for the first time, and after my trip, I basically turned it into my whole personality. From late dinners at Fouquet's Paris to days at the Louvre to my morning croissant, I have been daydreaming about my trip ever since I got back to New York. Another part of my daydreams? All the chic trends I saw stylish Parisians wearing throughout my trip. Now that we are fully in fall and winter is just around the corner, I have been thinking about the French-girl trends that I'll be copying myself. I ended up with six that were so good it didn't feel right to keep them to myself.

Keep scrolling to see the elevated fall and winter French-girl trends that made my list.

Polka-Dot Tights

Sheer tights are always in during the colder months, but a subtle polka-dot print adds a certain je ne sais quoi. Style them with a miniskirt and loafers during the day and a sleek pair of pumps and an LBD at night for a slightly more seductive vibe.

Touches of Lace

This romantic trend was everywhere while I was out in the evenings in the City of Love. You can play with this trend by trying a whole lace outfit or just swapping your sheer tights for a lacier option. Their sultry nature takes any outfit up a notch on the sexy scale, and they're perfect for the fall and winter months.

Wool Bucket Hats

Every chic Parisian has one or two wool bucket hats in their fall/winter 2024 wardrobe, and I see why. They're easy to style with other great basics like a turtleneck and cashmere sweater and have a certain air of sophistication and trendiness at the same time. Plus, the fashion set is loving hats at the moment, so it's a win-win.

Burgundy Accessories

Burgundy, oxblood, bordeaux… Whatever you want to call it, this deep shade of red is the ultimate accessory color for fall. French women everywhere were sporting shoes, bags, hats, tights, and sunglasses in this color, instantly making any fall outfit that much chicer. I personally can't get enough of it.

Suede Jackets

A good suede jacket is a hero piece for any stylish French woman, and I love how it can elevate even just a simple T-shirt and jeans. While suede jackets can be pricey, I found the chicest Zara one and linked it for you below. You're welcome.

Leather Miniskirts

Never underestimate the power of a good leather miniskirt. It's the perfect combination of cool and flirty. Style it with a pair of tights and boots or heels for the evening and a pair of loafers and a sweater during the day.
