Gasp! 26 Incredibly Good Amazon Prime Finds Worn by the Coolest Celebs
Confession: I'm not the biggest Amazon shopper. I know that some people live to find the best deals on apparel, accessories, and anything else. But for me, Amazon's appeal isn't affordability as much as its offering of some of the best designer dupes. I'm aware that this is a controversial take, but hear me out: When you're on a tight budget, you can't ball out on the designer items that come down the runway (sadly). Like it or not, Amazon offers us the chance to secure some of the biggest trends worn by the coolest people. But if you're a bit of a dubious shopper like myself, you'll want to keep reading.
In the vein of proving that Amazon does have some of the most elevated and expensive-looking finds, I spent hours doing image and market research. Luckily for you, I'm not the type to gatekeep. Ahead, you'll find a breakdown of the nine biggest celebrity-approved fashion trends based on their prevalence in celebrity paparazzi shots. Plus, I've taken the liberty of curating the best 26 celebrity-approved Amazon finds, all under $150, to further my point. You may not be able to wear head-to-toe designer, but rest assured, these finds will make you feel like a star.
Eighties-Inspired Earrings
On Hailey Bieber: Magda Butrym Blazer; LaQuan Smith Dress; Tiffany & Co. Jewelry
Ever since the Bottega Veneta's Drop Earrings went viral, there's been no shortage of celebrities donning every type of oversize adornment. Case in point? Hailey Bieber's look above. While you can find affordable dupes of this trend, if you want to adopt something a bit more daring, look for earrings that tap into the '80s fashion era with oversize silhouettes.
Why choose between gold or silver earrings, when you can have both?
Waistcoats
On Ayo Edebiri: Loewe F/W 24 Runway Look, Black Inflated Round Sunglasses ($380), and Mini Puzzle Bag ($2650)
If you've kept up with recent trends, it should come as no surprise that suiting separates—specifically waistcoats—continue to reign supreme. In recent months, we've seen this type of top worn by everyone from Ayo Edebiri to Kendall Jenner, proving that this trend isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
Nineties Shoulder Bags
On Emily Ratajkowski: Crap Eyewear x Iggy the Warp Zone Sunglasses ($99); The Row Half Moon Bag ($1520); Levi's Dad Utility Jeans ($98)
The easiest way to look like the stars is to secure the bag (quite literally). More specifically, you'll want to buy '90s-inspired shoulder bags because of their cult status among celebrity fandom. From Emily Ratajkowski to Kaia Gerber, there's no shortage of celebs carrying every type of bag from this era (aka baguette, crescent, barrel shapes), proving their continued relevance.
You can shop this shoulder bag in six other shades, including black and white.
Statement Belts
On Jennifer Lawrence: Luv Lou the Helena Tort Sunglasses ($160); Jil Sander Virgin Wool Shirt Jacket ($2390); Celine Western 25Mm Belt ($640); Bottega Veneta Tosca Oversize Button Intrecciato Leather Shoulder Bag ($10900); Alaïa Fishnet Ballerina Flats ($890)
Another accessory that will make you look like an A-lister (even if you're not)? Belts. Although they may seem trite, belts have caught their big break in recent seasons thanks to their prevalence on the runway and in the closets of celebs. With the latter, we've seen stars such as Bella Hadid and Jennifer Lawrence incorporate statement belts into their everyday ensembles even more than usual. And while we might not all be able to splurge on a designer belt like they can, we can find chic dupes to tap into the trend for ourselves.
Straight-Leg Denim
On Laura Harrier: Dmy Studios Valentina Sunglasses ($284); Saint Laurent Le 5 A 7 Small YSL Padded Leather Shoulder Bag ($2690); The Row Franco Slides
One of the things that you'll regularly spot in paparazzi shots? Straight-leg jeans. While there are so many denim trends out there, no other shape remains as favored by the style set as this classic cut. Whether styled casually with a cardigan, t-shirt, and mules (as seen above in Laura Harrier's look) or made a bit fancier by the addition of slingbacks, there's no shortage of ways to wear this style.
Dark-wash jeans will always look designer (even if they're not).
Mesh Ballet Flats
On Zendaya: Bottega Veneta Double Breasted Belted Trench Coat and Wool-Twill Wide-Leg Pants ($1150) and Atomic Ballerina Flats ($790); Loewe Relaxed T-Shirt ($330)
Unless you've been living off the grid, chances are you're already aware that mesh flats are having a moment—thanks to the viral designer versions from The Row, Dear Frances, and Alaïa. But that popularity has never been more crystalized by their presence in the closets of Hollywood's hottest girlies. We've seen these mesh flats worn by everyone from Zendaya to Katie Holmes to Lori Harvey, proving they're the shoes of the summer. But if you're unable to spend a ton to secure this shoe trend, then it's worth shopping dupes from Amazon Prime Day.
PSA: You don't have to spend $600+ to secure the hottest shoes of the season.
Although I'm impartial to the nude version of these fishnet flats, they do happen to come in nine other colorways.
Chunky Aviators
On Rihanna: Tom Ford Bronson Sunglasses ($251); Peter Do F/W 24 coat
You can't step into the spotlight without a pair of shades. But if we're being honest, not all eyewear trends are created equal. There's one specific style that's s risen above the others by having an outsized presence on the runway and with stars like Rihanna: oversize aviators. Although the style has been around since the '70s, we've seen it make a serious comeback, making it one of the hottest trends to secure (especially while it's on sale at Amazon).
Drop-Waist Dresses
On Bella Hadid: DMY Studios Olsen Squared Metal Sunglasses ($260); Alaïa Knit Dress; Prada tote bag
It's not summer if there isn't at least one dress trend that's taken over the celebs' closets. This year, it happens to be drop-waist dresses. We've seen this style adopted in every form imaginable, from a brown bodycon mini worn by Bella Hadid to an elegant two-tone poplin dress by Sofia Richie Grainge. The versatility of this silhouette alone is its greatest selling point, but its fandom among the style set surely helps, too.
A dress so good that it will make you want to plan a date night.
The bubble hem makes this drop-waist dress even trendier.
Retro Kicks
On Kaia Gerber: Nike x Bode Astro Grabber Sneakers ($499)
Lastly, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention the one item you'll always see on the style set season after season: retro sneakers. Whether donned by Kaia Gerber, Olivia Rodrigo, or Taylor Russel, this timeless trend is the ride-or-die item you'll always spot on stars. Therefore, there's no better item to buy (while it's on sale) than a pair of retro kicks—just look for a pair from celeb-approved brands such as Nike, Puma, Reebok, Adidas, or New Balance. Rest assured, long after Amazon's deals are over, everyone, including you, will still be wearing these sneakers.
