Winter Rut, Who? 30 Classic Items Reviving My Closet
Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items.
I'll admit it: I'm having a case of the winter scaries, but not in the way you'd think. Winter is always challenging for me—I prefer long summer days at the beach over dark winter nights at home—but the weather is what really throws me off. It's still 80 degrees here in Southern California during the day, but by nighttime, that suspiciously warm weather is replaced with frigid temps (by my standards, anyway). So, as you can imagine, dressing for a West Coast winter can feel impossible. It's way too warm for cashmere in the daytime, and too cold for my light-sweater-and-jeans combo in the evenings. The solution? A shopping trip, of course.
Whenever I'm looking to add to my closet, I always keep three adjectives in mind—classic, effortless, and high-quality. After spending countless hours scrolling, I've finally landed on 30 items that meet this criteria. Think chic pleated trousers, sculptural earrings, and velvet Mary Janes, to name a few. Keep reading to see everything I'm adding to my cart to get me out of my winter rut.
