30 Key Pieces I'm Buying First In 2025
Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items.
Fashion for the upcoming year is top of mind as I consider how I'm building out my 2025 outfits, as well as how I'll be editing out of my wardrobe. I've already done a thorough closet cleanout to donate pieces that I haven't been wearing and feel inspired to incorporate new-in pieces from designers, as well as some of the upcoming trends that I've been excited to start wearing. I’ve already dug into the biggest trends from the spring/summer 2025 runways and dug into more about where fashion is headed, as well as consulted editors to see which items they are planning to invest in and there are some clear common themes.
So what has landed on the short list of key buys for 2025? Ahead, I’m breaking down the pieces I'm eyeing and plan to wear everywhere from home in NYC to fashion month to warmer weather arriving this spring. Ahead, see my top fashion finds for 2025. While I will start by ordering just a few items, this will serve as a shopping list I'll return to as I make new purchases throughout the year.
I added a head-to-toe camel look from Ralph Lauren runway in 2004 to my moodboard for the year that is serving as inspiration. This turtleneck is a great building block piece for the outfit.
I've already ordered this, so expect to see me wear it soon. Also, this sale price is too good to pass up.
I'm gravitating towards more romantic pieces across the board, including these beautiful drop earrings.
I've been feeling inspired by Grace Kelly, so have been eyeing these tortoiseshell glasses which are similar to a pair she wore.
I always treat myself to a fresh pair of pajamas at the top of the year.
Celebrity trainer Kirsty Godso has raved about these leggings for the gym, and I've already ordered them.
My go-to workout sneakers are worn out, so I'm ordering a fresh pair while they're on sale.
Another piece that is already in my closet that I've been saving to wear during fashion month.
At the top of my shopping list? Flat-ish boots to walk around NYC in.
I wore the last black leather belt I own so much that it needs a replacement.
I've been talking about this bag since it was reissued last year.
Powder pink is set to dominate and I'm on board.
I would style the knit above with these pants in a similar shade.
I've been on the hunt for a great A-line skirt and finally found one. This also comes in white.
I've been carefully considering a timepiece purchase and keep coming back to the beautiful Cartier Tank.
Silk scarves have always felt intimidating to wear but I feel inspired by all of the fresh ways I'm seeing them styled.
A lace-trimmed dress feels primed for a spring date night.
