However, I for one was more than a little hesitant to warm up to the sandal style. As a classic dresser, I found them a little too chunky and casual for my taste; the wide straps and thick sole (which I think is often too thick) clash with my preference for sleek and refined pieces. This was until I found a more subtle pair that worked with my minimal wardrobe, and I can't deny how they elevated a recent outfit, which consisted of a black maxi T-shirt dress and tote bag.
