Alix Earle Takes Fashion Risks for Miu Miu (Yes, That Includes Socks with Heels)

Alix Earle doesn't care if you don't get her socks—they're Miu Miu, for crying out loud. (The comments section might judge her for it, but we surely won't.)
On the last day of Paris Fashion Week, the 24-year-old social media star and Hot Mess podcast host celebrated the best way she knew how—ordering coffee, applying under-eye patches, and getting ready with her friends ahead of Miu Miu's Fall-Winter 2025 show. Much has been said about Miu Miu over the last few years, most notably, the fact that the brand has come to represent the hyper-online, semi-frazzled yet still incredibly chic cool girl. She pulls on her favorite leggings, throws everything in her giant black hole of a purse, brushes her hair only slightly and heads out the door. The modern-day Miu Miu women is highly akin to Alix—incredibly aspirational yet somehow still earnest. There's no need to pretend she has her life together. Earle knows this fact well.
The social media star has become one of the most followed people on the internet thanks to her intimate Get Ready With Me videos. Everytime you sit down and tune in to Alix's content, it feels like you're catching up with a friend on FaceTime. That's why when Who What Wear got ready with Earle ahead of her front-row moment at Miu Miu during a social media takeover on our Instagram, we simply had to ask: is getting ready for the Miami clubs better than getting ready to bask in the glory of Miuccia Prada. Her answer? Same, but different
The Miu Miu girl is the one who's thee moment—constantly on trend, easily talked about, and often, the coolest person in the room. How do you channel the Miu Miu muse in your daily life?
Confidence is key — if you don’t believe it yourself, then nobody else will.
I'd love to know a bit about the look that you chose today. What about your outfit speaks to you and your personal style?
I thought the bright blue color of this set was so fun. It definitely pops when you walk into a room & I’ve always been drawn to pieces that stand out, whether it’s in the best way or the most unexpected way.
Of course, you've built so much of your platform with your candid Get Ready with Me videos. Do you find that you get in a different headspace when you're getting ready to sit front-row at a fashion show versus getting ready to go out to brunch with friends?
There’s no difference for me in terms of headspace—getting ready always consists of filming something to bring my audience along for the ride. It always feels fun and natural, like I’m just getting ready with the girls. It’s that same energy, just different outfits, and settings.
Nowadays, it feels like everything that Miu Miu puts out instantly goes viral. Is there an item from the last collection you're chasing to get your hands on?
I have been obsessed with the New Balance/Miu Miu sneakers, and every time I go to a store to get them, they’re sold out in my size. It’s become a bit of a mission at this point! If anyone finds them in a size 7, let me know!
What's the most touristy guilt-free pleasure you'll be indulging in while you're in Paris?
I must get a croissant every time I come here, it’s non-negotiable. No matter how many times I visit, it never gets old.
What was your favorite runway moment from the Miu Miu show?
The distressed leather jackets were to die for, such an effortlessly cool, lived-in vibe. There were also these brown sneakers with a gold buckle that are perfection!
