I've Been Shopping at Nordstrom for Over 20 Years, and These 15 Finds Are My Best Yet

Welcome to Before I Head Out, a series in which fashion editor Anneliese Henderson rounds up the snaps she's taken of her favorite outfits before heading out the door of her Los Angeles home.
I'm 28 years old and have had an affinity for shopping for as long as I can remember, but there will always be one retailer that just gets me. If you've been reading my articles for a while, you probably already know, but if you're new here (oh, hi—welcome!), here's the scoop: I'm a Nordstrom fanatic. Growing up, I spent weekends in my hometown fighting for parking spaces at the mall so I could raid the racks of my local Nordstrom. And now that I'm an adult—well, I haven't changed. These days, my online cart is always full of everything under the sun: accessories, home goods, beauty, and shoes (so many shoes). You name it, and I'm eyeing it.
I recently spoiled myself with a shopping spree and purchased all the items I've been eyeing for the past few months. And honestly, this might be my most impressive Nordstrom haul ever.
You can never own too many dresses in the summer. My jaw hit the floor when I put on this Reformation dress. The drop waist? The bubble skirt? The boat neck? How is it all real, and how does it fit me so perfectly? Even though it looks like a lot of material, it's actually incredibly breezy. You don't need to worry about sweating too much on your walk to brunch. I styled it with my trusty Bottega Veneta bag (which just so happens to be in stock right now at Nordstrom) and Sam Edelman ballet flats.
Who has a vacation booked? Because I just found your dinner outfit. I'm picturing an alfresco meal overlooking the Mediterranean with an Aperol spritz in hand, of course. I'm the queen of neutrals, but I'll give in to color once in a while. This Mango satin maxi skirt did not disappoint. I added a little straw bag because, well, it's summer, and slid into these sweet Jeffrey Campbell sandals with a big-toe embellishment. I kept my top simple with a slinky cowl-neck knit, but if you wanted to wear this skirt with a bikini top from your beach day, it wouldn't be a shame.
Speaking of low-rise shorts, meet my new go-to for summer: the Levi's Baggy Dad Shorts. While Bermuda shorts are a bit controversial (is it just me, or are they getting baggier and longer every season?), I'm fully invested. I can't get over how comfortable and cool these are—they scream off-duty model. Competing for the star of the show are these Tory Burch Mary Janes and my Toteme croc-embossed belt. While both are simple and black, they pack a punch. I brought out a vintage Prada bag to lean into the '90s vibe of the look and pull it all together.
Did I almost give up trying to figure out how to get this strappy Paloma Wool top on my body? Yes, but once I figured it out, I didn't want to take it off. The material is buttery soft, and I love the deep brown color. It's so chic dressed up with this full white linen skirt, but it could also be dressed down with low-rise shorts and some sandals. The versatility is unmatched.
While I love dressing up, this is the outfit you can find me in 90% of the time: jeans and a simple top. I can't shut up about these Levi's '90s jeans—they're the perfect fit. And every friend who buys them after I recommend them is obsessed. And don't get me started on this Reformation tank. I have it in just about every color, and it just looks effortlessly cool with whatever you wear it with.
