Oslo is very close to nature with all its parks, the woods and the shore. It is just a short trip out of the city centre and you're surrounded by nature. I think what’s so great is that you really get to experience how beautiful autumn is.
What are your favourite things to do when autumn rolls around?
In the middle of Frognerparken (the city's largest park), there is a very cute café called Anne på landet which sits overlooking a little pond and is surrounded by big trees. It has a big outdoor seating area but is very sweet inside too, for those rainy autumn days. It’s the ideal place to sit and enjoy the beautiful autumn colours in the park. Also, Theatercaféen is possibly the chicest café in town and really nice to visit during autumn.
Norway’s national dish is in-season during autumn and serves as a regular meal for most Norwegians during this time of year. It’s a really simple dish with lamb cooked in cabbage and pepper and served with potatoes, but its plainness is the beauty of the dish. It’s the perfect warm and cosy meal to serve on a cold and rainy autumn day. And nothing beats snuggling up at home with lit candles, blankets and a hot beverage.

Every part of the city has its own vibe and charm. I would either go to Frogner for more cute, classic feels, or Bjørvika if you’re looking for somewhere more modern and artsy.
If autumn in Oslo was a movie, which would it be?
I am in love with the movie One Fine Day. It just makes me want to put on a trench coat and run around the city. In many ways it reminds me of Oslo in autumn because it is a pretty hustling and bustling place, too. Also, it usually rains quite a lot here, which happens a lot in the film.
What's on your autumn mood board?
All things suede, dark brown and burgundy are on my fashion mood board this fall. I am also very into cow print and furry details done in a classy way. Then there’s jazz, espresso martinis, old '90s movies set in New York and lots of lit candles.

What makes autumn special in New York?
There isn't a movie named after autumn in New York for no reason. It's arguably the best time in the city, which is why it's so heartbreaking that it only lasts about three weeks. Here, the weather goes from scorching hot throughout September to beautiful for a few weeks in October to cold, but those couple of weeks of 50-60ºF [around 10-15°C] temperatures are glorious. Central Park especially becomes all yellow, orange and red, and the air is crisp, allowing locals to wear the sweaters they've been dying to bring out without having to add a coat. Really, it's the only time you can wear big, chunky knits—I'm looking at you, Khaite—because the wide sleeves rarely fit inside of coat sleeves.

New York has so many amazing old-school restaurants that feel very autumnal to me, from piano bars like Bemelmans at the Carlyle Hotel (which is more luxurious) to casual Italian "red-sauce" spots like Gene's in the West Village. Get a martini or a glass of chianti at the bar and people-watch after a long day—it's that kind of vibe. Waverly Inn is another great fall spot—the bar especially, which has a fireplace. Also, wearing fall clothes—sweaters, cashmere wrap coats and tights specifically!

My perfect autumn day includes walking down Central Park West to Barry’s, grabbing a coffee at Casa Salvo on Amsterdam, then showering and heading to MoMA for a museum day followed by a three-hour, very late burger-and-martini lunch at Café Luxembourg.
What does your autumn uniform look like?
It really depends on when in autumn since the weather fluctuates a lot, but you can't go wrong with a great pair of Levi's, a nice cashmere sweater and some almond-toe flats or pumps, or stiletto boots. I'll throw on a long cashmere wrap coat or a barn jacket if it's chilly. For something dressier, a black column skirt and matching cashmere shell with a long coat, cool hat and leather gloves.

Upper East Side on 5th or Park Avenue in front of the entries to the area's many pre-war building lobbies.

It seems dark (and it kind of is) but my favourite fashion movie tied to NYC is A Perfect Murder. I also love One Fine Day.

I always go back to '90s Calvin Klein, Narciso Rodriguez and Prada runway images for inspiration, so a good amount of suiting and classic, minimal dresses or skirt and top combos. What makes autumn special in Geneva?
Definitely the weather! It’s not too hot and not too cold—really the perfect forecast. This means you can wear whatever you want for a big chunk of the season—a pretty dress with a cardigan layered over the top and jeans with a suede jacket are two of my most frequent looks for wearing around the city. I also love the colour palette of Geneva in the autumn; the shades of red, yellow and orange are some of the most vivid I’ve ever seen.
What are your favourite things to do when autumn rolls around?
I know it’s not that original, but my favourite thing to do in autumn is find a cosy spot in a local café and order a big coffee—a caramel macchiato on a sunny terrace is the dream. If I have a good book to hand, I can spend hours just watching the world go by.
I like to dine at certain restaurants in the autumn, too—if you’re looking for a good lunch spot, the uptown area has a lot of great options. White Rabbit does the best scrambled eggs and avocado toast, but if you have a sweet tooth, the pancakes are just as good. For lunch or supper, Yukiguni has the best ramen in the city! Also, what would autumn in Switzerland be without cheese?! The smell of cheese is one of my favourite things and now is the perfect time to eat some raclette and fondue with freshly-made bread. I know I keep saying it, but the colours you see across the city as the weather turns… it really is like a painting.

There are so many good spots! I’d start in the Old Town and its narrow streets. My favourite is Promenade de Saint-Antoine, and anywhere around the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire. I’d say When Harry Met Sally. I know it’s set in New York, but the colours and outdoor scenes in the movie always make me feel like it’s set in Geneva.

Everything suede and lots of brown fashion—brown is the new black this season. Lined lips. My favourite shades are Stone by MAC and Endless Cacao by Make Up For Ever. Scent-wise, I have my eye on Libre by YSL. I know I’m a fashion person so this answer might seem obvious, but Londoners really know how to dress for autumn—I’d go as far as to say we invented it! Trench coats, boots, scarves… we style them with ease. The crisp mornings by the Thames are the best! Walking around any of the heaths (Hampstead, Wimbledon and so on) when the leaves start to turn and fall is beautiful and unlike anywhere else.
What are your favourite things to do when autumn rolls around?
In autumn I always make more of an effort with my beauty routine, which I look forward to! There are usually lots of big exhibitions during this season, so it’s the perfect time to visit museums, and we have so many. My friends and I love bubble tea, so we often meet on the weekends in places like Laïze in Palais Royal; it’s cosy and I love the aesthetic. I always get a taro bubble tea with oat milk in the autumn as it’s so comforting. Another haunt of ours is Café Berry in the Marais area; it’s very small and can be difficult to get a seat but I love the chai latte. It’s also the perfect time to go to Angelina Café; it’s pricey but so beautiful if you want to have a very unique and chic Parisian tea time experience—its homemade hot chocolate is so good (and I don’t even like chocolate!). I also love going to the Tuileries Garden for the churros at the funfair.

I’ll start my day by practising gratitude and journaling, then I'll go for a run. Afterwards, I'll meet a friend, shoot some content and maybe stop by an exhibition or gallery. Lunch at my favourite Korean restaurant, Sam Chic, is always a treat, or I'll grab a delicious Italian sandwich and some tiramisu at Cosí. Window shopping at Galeries Lafayette never gets old (I love to go to the beauty hall and try out new perfumes). I am a big cinema person too, and autumn is the perfect time to go and watch a film there.

Berlin is a very green city, so we see the change of seasons as soon as we step out of our front doors. The good thing about Berlin is that you can really wear anything and nobody cares! It’s a pretty casual city. We have the wonderful tradition of Kanelbullens dag (otherwise known as Cinnamon Bun Day!) on 4 October, so for me, autumn has always been connected to the smell of freshly baked kanelbullar, which spills from every nearby café. As a population, we try to enjoy autumn as much as possible here, because our winters are so long, so every café and restaurant turns into a cosy spot. My favourites right now are Crum Heaven, Mellqvist and Lilla Caféet på Söder. I would also recommend strolling through Gamla Stan’s cobblestone alleys—you will definitely find the perfect autumn scenery there and experience the history of Stockholm at the same time.
I also just love the cosiness of it all. There's something incredibly comforting about wrapping up in layers, enjoying warm drinks and spending more time indoors as the days get shorter. The shift in energy and taking the season at a slower pace is something I really love. And the neutral, darker shades—it really is a stunning time for fashion.

Eat! I am such a foodie. I love Effie’s at Manly Boatshead—it's right on the water, surrounded by trees and does great coffee and sweet treats. Baba's Place is one of my favourite dinner spots, which you'll find in the Marrickville neighbourhood. When I'm in the mood to shop, you'll find me at Chinatown Country Club; it's one of the best places in the city for unique fashion. And what I absolutely adore about autumn is the chance to layer! It’s like the season was made for style. You can mix warm knits, coats and skirts with whatever you want. I always feel inspired at this time of the year.
Describe your perfect autumn day in a sentence
"Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall." This quote from The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald sums it up! I love the idea of resetting for the new season.
What does your autumn uniform look like?
Probably a shirt with a vest layered over the top, cool trousers and, of course, as many accessories as possible!
Where are the best photo spots?
I love the Paddington area but also just in the middle of the city with the big buildings and hundreds of people passing you by. I love photos with a confusing, chaotic background to them.
If autumn in Sydney was a movie, which would it be?
Definitely Before Sunrise.
What's on your autumn mood board?
Making and eating soups (and general comfort food), trying new hairstyles and fall fashion. I want to shake up my interiors too so I'm saving a lot of references for that. And Miu Miu's patchwork leather bag!

What makes autumn special in Rome?
Autumn in Rome is an extraordinary time. The atmosphere is magical and the leaves falling from the trees fill the streets, creating truly spectacular views and panoramas. This is the period of the famous Roman Octobers, where the city prepares to have warm temperatures given by the last gasps of summer. It’s the perfect time to take long walks around Rome as it is still warm but cooler than the sultry summer.
What are your favourite things to do when autumn rolls around?
A walk in Villa Borghese is a must during the season. This Roman park allows you to admire all the shades of autumn, mixing with history, art and lakes. Shades of orange, green, yellow and brown are more intense here than anywhere else in the city. You can cover the area on foot, by bicycle or on a rickshaw for rent. Cosy nights in, too! And cooking and generally eating things with cinnamon—in autumn it has a whole other flavour and I could put it on everything!
Describe your perfect autumn day in a sentence
A bike ride through the orange leaves, a pumpkin-spice-latte date, going home to make some cookies, the sound of the rain, lighting candles and starting the autumn Harry Potter marathon on my cosy sofa.
What does your autumn uniform look like?
A combination of shirts, light sweaters or cardigans, comfy trousers, big brown bags and Uggs. And don’t forget a medium-weight jacket for the evening!
Where are the best photo spots?
I'll try to recommend you some places that aren't too touristy! Basically, anywhere in the centre of Rome is beautiful for a photo, but my favourites spots are Campo dei Fiori (especially in the morning when you can find the market), Villa Borghese, sunset at Giardino degli Aranci (a little corner of paradise), the cosy streets of Trastevere, Arco degli Acetari (this is a rare gem hardly anyone knows about), Caffè delle Arti for a homely aesthetic (and a rest), Quartiere Coppedè, Via del Vignola and the Orto Botanico, which is so special during fall!
If autumn in Rome was a movie, which would it be?
This is hard, but I’d always think about When Harry Met Sally, even though it's set in New York! I love this movie for its autumnal colours and crispy vibes, and I see so much of that here.
What's on your autumn mood board?
Scented candles, cinnamon rolls, Uggs, cosy nights in, oversized sweaters, hot chocolate, pumpkin spice lattes, vanilla tea, watching Gilmore Girls (again), coffee, the smell of rain, brown lip gloss, suede, brown bags, long coats, ballerina shoes, dark-red nails, listening to There She Goes by The La’s, warm lights, brown jackets (lots of brown!), crochet and re-reading Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert.
