Drop Everything: Madewell x Alexa Chung Part Two Has Arrived
She's back and better than ever. Alexa Chung—journalist, designer, and fashion inspiration to many—has launched a second collaboration with Madewell. Just in time for the holidays, Alexa Chung x Madewell drop deux is delivering a steaming plate of festive inspiration. Similar to the first iteration of the collaboration between the American brand and Chung, this month's iteration features subtle, timeless, yet refreshingly relevant seasonal themes like satin, corduroy, and rigid denim. It's a match made in fashion heaven.
Composed of 15 pieces (with four best-selling pieces returning), this drop is heavily inspired by Chung's favorite vintage finds. Much like the first installment, lived-in denim plays a major role, and structured jeans and tailored denim shirts make up nearly half of the collection. Crisp button-down shirts and a chic corduroy overcoat add a timeless, sophisticated elegance to the rest of the collection.
"In designing this collection with Madewell, I wanted to capture that feeling of a closet full of essentials that are not only timeless but also distinctly personal. I'm endlessly inspired by vintage fashion and the textures that bring it to life—denim, corduroy, and softer, lived-in cottons. Each piece is made to feel like it's already had a place in your wardrobe for years, like that perfect pair of jeans or a well-worn jacket that you always reach for. There's a special attention to detail here, too, whether it's a tailored fit or a subtle twist on a classic silhouette. For me, it's about creating those 'forever pieces' that suit any style but still bring that unique, individual flair," Chung exclusively told us.
Chung and Madewell's first drop evoked a romanticized past with '70s-inspired suede silhouettes and mod details, all incredibly timely thanks to one of fall's key trends. The 14-piece capsule featured longline coats, classic denim, and retro miniskirts that are still available to shop. Not surprisingly, most of it has been snagged in recent weeks.
If the reception to last collection is any indication, part two of the Alexa Chung x Madewell collaboration is sure to sell out. Below, shop the collection, ranging from $118 to $348. Don't walk—run.
