There's nothing like good denim, so you can imagine my excitement when I found out that L'AGENCE was opening their brand-new Jean Bar on Melrose Place in L.A., just down the street from my house. Now, if you haven't tried L'AGENCE denim yet, let me give you the low-down: Every style this editor-favorite brand puts out is incredibly chic, comfortable (like wear-on-an-airplane comfortable), and long-lasting. Who What Wear Editorial Director (and my in-store shopping buddy) Lauren Eggertsen and I decided to hit the new establishment and weren't even surprised when we were bombarded with on-trend styles that we immediately wanted to try on. "The L'AGENCE Jean Bar is insanely chic. From the moment you walk in, you can feel that you're about to have a shopping experience unlike any other. The décor is minimal and forward, and the staff is attentive. Shopping for jeans can be a negative experience, but the people at the Jean Bar make sure you're well taken care of and feel like your best self the entire time. The mirrors in the dressing room are gorgeous and flattering, and you feel like you’re getting a private shopping experience. I highly recommend it. This first look I styled is honestly so me. I always gravitate toward classic denim styles and have a bit of a blazer obsession. A tailored blazer, white tank, and straight-leg jeans make the perfect outfit. I would wear this to the office for a day full of meetings and then straight to dinner and drinks with friends. This pair of jeans is so versatile. "I like to keep a wide variety of jeans in my closet, ranging from the classics to trendier pairs like this cargo style. One of my favorite styling tricks is pairing a white button-up shirt with trendy items. The classic shirt mellows out the cargo jeans, which are more outside my comfort zone, and I love the result. I applied the same styling rule to my shoes and opted for a simple, suede slingback. I would throw this outfit on for a day of shopping with friends or a fun date night with my fiancé. The jeans are seriously so comfortable—they almost feel like sweatpants. I could fly in these jeans and not feel constricted in the slightest. "My very favorite way to style denim is with more of a simple top and an unexpected shoe. I love accessorizing classic pieces with something a bit more exciting. You will always find a denim skirt in my closet, and this one is my new favorite. I styled it here with the raw-hem silk tee that has the shape of a T-shirt but reads more like a blouse in person—it's beautiful. I added snakeskin boots for some texture and color. I can't wait to wear this look to a concert this season. The skirt is the perfect length and has just the right amount of stretch to allow me to move around comfortably all night long." — Eggertsen
