New Year, New Wardrobe—Here Are the Top New Arrivals I Have My Eye On
Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items.
Not to brag, but I wore some pretty good outfits in 2024. Some made it onto my social feeds (and many didn't), but there were quite a few standouts, from weekday office wear to wedding guest looks to vacation attire. But I'm stepping it up in 2025—big time. Over the next year, I plan on adding to my capsule wardrobe of chic and high-quality basics and investing in really cool accessories to make each look feel unique and fun. Interested in doing the same? Below, I've included just 30 of the many pieces I have my eye on to achieve this vibe in the new year. If you feel inclined to show this list to one of my friends or family members ahead of my birthday next month, I wouldn't mind. Just saying.
I thought I'd kick things off with the top I'm wearing above, because it'd be rude to leave you wondering. I just bought this a couple of weeks ago but I already know it will be my go-to date night or going-out top (and it should probably be yours, too).
The other Mary Janes in my closet are about to get replaced, and I'm not sorry about it.
I definitely need more dark-wash denim in my collection (but I also plan on taking some of my existing jeans to the tailor because ill-fitting denim is a crime).
If you notice me exclusively carrying this black bag in 2025, mind your business.
I'm really into wearing a neutral look with multiple red accessories at the moment, so I'd style this beanie with a scarf and sneakers in the same cherry-red hue.
The Frankie Shop's sweaters are always top tier, especially for the price.
A classic loafer is the type of footwear you never regret investing in.
I dare you to catch me without a smile on my face while wearing this dreamy suede Prada bag.
The perfect statement necklace to wear with T-shirts, strapless dresses, and even bikinis.
I can't wait to get my hands on the latest style from Freja New York, in the trending bag shape.
This sweater has the perfect cropped fit. I'll wear this all winter long while the weather is cold and then use it as a styling piece during the spring and summer, tying it around my waist or shoulders for a pop of color.
Add this snakeskin bag to any simple outfit when you need a little something extra.
These pants are so versatile. Style them with heels and a tank or loafers and a sweater. Either way, you really can't go wrong.
This Miu Miu pouch is actually meant to be clipped onto a larger handbag, but I saw someone carrying it as a bag and I'm sold. It would be so cute for an evening look, especially with fancier party attire.
This is a true day-to-night piece. I'd style it as a blazer with a tee underneath for the office and then as a top without one for dinner or drinks.
The bottom piece of these mixed-metal hoops is removable, giving you lots of styling options.
At this point, animal print is basically a neutral, so I'll be treating it as such in 2025.
Satin pumps are never a bad idea. This color is more interesting than black or brown, but just as easy to style.
If you're in the market for a new work tote, may I suggest this one? It's really cute and surprisingly high-quality for the $70 price tag.
I've been drooling over these boots for months. They're just so cool.
The reviews on this Skims tee are always so good, so nows the time to try it out for myself.
No one does cashmere loungewear like ALO.
