Alexa Chung Just Wore the Coolest Dress-and–Ankle Boot Combo in Paris
And they're off! That back-to-school feeling is in the air everywhere, but it's particularly potent across the four fashion capitals, where stylish women have new outfit ideas practically burning a hole in their wardrobes. London Fashion Week now follows hot on the heels NYC, which was the first to kick-start the A/W 19 season's outfit switcheroo. Celebrities, influencers, editors and stylists have arrived, and despite some actually quite delightful weather, they're already getting into the groove of autumn.
We'll be keeping you up to date on all of the latest street style action but also cherry-picking a concise edit of celebrity FROW and out-and-about looks from fashion month—the kind that we're genuinely pinning for inspiration and shopping from. These are the A-list ensembles that actually do relate to your own closets—like Alexa Chung's pre-LFW look including my favourite skirt trend (love me a kilt) or Kate Bosworth giving us a heads up on the latest Chloé bag to covet.
We also noticed that one particular shoe trend just keeps on being a priority for celebs—only recently did we note that the likes of VB were choosing bright heels to go with all manner of outfits. Looks like Nicole Kidman has taken note, wearing a very similar pair at her front row Prada appearance. Alexa Chung wore the coolest dress-and-boot ensemble during Paris Fashion Week. Keep scrolling to see our team's favourite celebrity outfits from fashion month.

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
Style Notes: Unsurprisingly, being a #ChloéGirl has major perks. Here's a cute autumnal look from Chloé, complete with the brand's latest It bag, the Aby.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Clearly there's a memo going around for autumnal florals, and we're into it just as much as Olivia Palermo in this cute Michael Kors daisy combo.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Wearing the boots we wish we'd preordered (because they're selling out everywhere), Emily Ratajkowski highlights how great the knee-highs are from new brand Paris Texas. You only need a very simple outfit to let them do all the talking.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Heading to the Carolina Herrera show, Anna has bought into the season's major floral dress trend—it's all about dark base colours—and matched it to her favourite yellow Manolo Blahniks.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Kendall's been on a stylish streak all week, but it's this smart-casual ensemble that ticks all the boxes for us. We'll definitely try a white shirt and leather trousers ASAP.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Sadie Sink of Stranger Things has not only received the memo about platforms being back, but she's also clearly fully on board with this season's pastel trend. This Kate Spade New York look is all kinds of great.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Hasn't Lila Grace grown? These two hit the Longchamp show this weekend, with Mama Moss in a signature all-black look and her daughter opting for sneaks and a shirred mint-green co-ord. Kate's almond-toe ankle boots reminded us that sometimes the simplest shoes are the best shoes.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Kaia's off-duty denim look brings together the '80s and '90s with an open shirt (Orseund Iris), straight-leg jeans (Re/Done), court shoes (Jimmy Choo) and retro shoulder bag. Also, we're enjoying those orange-tinted lenses.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Gigi's following (or setting?) the general NYFW trend I've noticed: wide-leg trousers. Rather than make these too business-ready, she's added a motif-emblazoned tee (by Fenty), a shoulder-robed knit and some quirky accessories. Very good for translating to the UK.
Shop the look:
Style Notes: Indya is definitely a girl to keep an eye on. This velvet jacket–and–flared trouser combination (from Zendaya's collection for Tommy Hilfiger) is just one of a couple of killer looks she's been serving us.
