Trust Me—Buy These 26 Things
Trust Me—Buy This is a series where editor at large Nicole Eshaghpour makes her favorite fashion finds shoppable for Who What Wear readers.
If you love to read product reviews before buying something, this one's for you. If you get especially excited when those blessed reviewers include pictures—because I know I do—then this is really up your alley. Today, I've rounded up not just some of my favorite pieces on the internet for summer but also the ones I actually own and cannot stop wearing (or cannot wait to wear) as of late. From shoes and tops to sets, the best basics, and more, the items below are pretty much a highlight reel of everything you've seen in my shopping roundups over the last few months. I even included the photo evidence to prove my love for them and show you how I'm styling these pieces day-to-day. Speaking of which, consider this an official plea for everyone reading this to excuse the casual selfies I've snapped in my apartment in between two small children vying for my attention.
With that out of the way, just keep scrolling to get started!
I've worn these pants so much in the last month it's unbelievable. I love that they are white but not sheer (!), and I can easily dress them up with heels or down with sneakers. I hemmed them such that they can work with both. The tee, belt, and sneakers are also heavily on rotation this season.
Had I known how much I would use this shirt before I bought it, I wouldn't have thought about it for weeks before hitting "check out" on my cart. It's actually from the men's section, but I love it because it's lightweight and easy to wear. Plus, it has a fun print that's also neutral enough to go with literally everything in my closet.
Am I a sucker for Khaite? Yes. Do I think its pieces are worth the investment? Absolutely. I've worn some version of this outfit for nearly every night out over the last two months: a black miniskirt with my favorite Zara tee—which runs small—a Khaite belt, and simple black pumps.
I love these shorts so much with a tee or sweater, but I also just ordered the matching top because I didn't previously know it existed, and I'm a firm believer in always buying the set!
This is what I wear most days when I want to be casual but still look put-together. I have these Enza Costa pants and this Reformation tank in both black and white and seriously live in them during the spring and summer. To pull everything together, I threw on a cool necklace, a pretty blue sweater over my shoulders, and my favorite new leather sandals.
The perfect cropped, lightweight, and affordable denim jacket has entered the chat, and everybody needs to own it.
I tried this set on earlier this week because I have a couple trips coming up and wanted to feel out how to style it and what I'd wear it for. I love it because it can be an outfit for lunch or dinner, for walking around, or for the beach over a bikini. Naturally, it goes perfectly with these tan Hermès sandals that I've now owned for probably seven or eight years and that continue to be my go-tos for any warm-weather vacation.
Continuing with the theme of travel, I knew I had to have this H&M pajama set for wearing over a black or white bikini. I even waited three or four weeks for it to come in stock in my size—by the way, it runs big—and it was definitely worth it. I love the touch of the embroidery, and it's just so easy and comfortable to pack and throw on.
Back to my day-to-day style. This top is actually a little out-there for me, but I knew it would look cute with jeans and shorts. I think I was right! I've used it a lot more than I expected and have convinced so many friends to buy it too.
Circling back to the topic of things I should have bought sooner, I'm actually upset that I went a year or so obsessing over these sunglasses but convincing myself I didn't need to make the splurge. Fast-forward to a few weeks ago, I finally tried them on in a department store and realized that I did, in fact, need them—right?!
I actually wore this outfit to dinner last night and slipped this photo in at the last minute as I was finishing up this story. The number of compliments I got on this dress was incredible, and honestly, I felt great in it! Because I'm on the more petite side, I removed the shoulder pads to make it fit me in a more flattering way, and I think it was the right move for me. I paired it with my favorite Chanel low heels and called it a day.
I'm closing it out with an outfit I keep going back to for casual dinners or days when I want to go beyond the basic tee. I love this little vest/top because it's comfortable but looks special. Here, I paired it with white boxer-style linen shorts for some contrast and my new mesh flats that I've been wearing nonstop too.
Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
