Street Style Is Back, and These 15 Looks Understood the Assignment

Fashion month may have come to an end, but I'm still thinking about the glorious looks street style stars wore in places such as Copenhagen and New York. Although it's great to see what everyone is wearing on the 'gram, there's something extra special about street style. Seeing editors, buyers, and fashion insiders bring out their best 'fits of the season is my favorite way to get my dose of outfit inspiration. This past month, there were plenty of big themes that stood out—clashing prints, tailored vests, and saturated shades. After a year of wearing mostly loungewear while I work from home, the excitement I have for dressing up again is very real.

Below, I rounded my top 15 favorites from this past month that are sure to give you plenty of inspiration this fall. Whether you want to copy the exact formulas or take notes on styling specific trends, you'll want to keep scrolling.

Style tip: Invest in matching tailored suiting because it's an instant way to put together a polished outfit. Plus, you can mix and match the pieces and get more cost per wear.

Style tip: If your outfit is relatively minimal, get creative with making an accessory pop like the silk scarf tied above. I love tying a scarf or putting on a hat whenever I think my outfit could use a little something.

Style tip: When layering with multiple pieces, play around with the structure of the outfit so nothing ends up looking bulky. Instead of leaving the sweater-vest and button-down loose, tucking them in makes it look so much more polished.

Style tip: The easiest way to incorporate color into an outfit is by adding a single accessory to pop.

Style tip: If you're going to go for an all-black look, that doesn't mean it has to be basic. Play with cutouts and different textures to keep things interesting.

Style tip: Don't be fooled by those who say statement outerwear isn't versatile. Since the piece speaks for itself, you don't need to do much work in the styling department to look amazing.

Style tip: If you're confused about what colors to pair together, take a look at the color wheel. Purple and yellow are complementary, so they're bound to look good together.

Style tip: If print mixing isn't your cup of tea, try similar prints in different (but coordinating) colorways. Gabrielle's look consists of warm tones, so it still flows.

Style tip: When layering with a dress, pay attention to the length of each piece. The long leather coat pairs perfectly with the midi dress and gives just enough room for mid-calf boots. If you paired the coat with a maxi and tall boots, it may be easy for everything to blend together.

Style tip: Knit sets aren't just for lounging around. Keep things tonal and use your accessories to elevate the look, as Noor did with a metallic bag and square-toed boots.
