I moved to New York City about four months ago, and I have to say that the differences between the fashion scene in my new city of residence and my former one (Los Angeles!) are becoming more apparent by the week. Don't get me wrong; I love NYC and its slightly chicer, slightly more polished vibe, but there are moments I long for the casual-cool style of the West Coast.
Thankfully Instagram is a thing, and I can follow my favorite L.A. girls—such as Ellen Kim—for daily Cali-girl style inspiration. I'm especially into Kim's low-key fall denim ensemble, as it's equal parts comfy and stylish. "2. Silverlake: This area is the cutest! I love the shops, the cafés, and the amazing restaurants. It's super hip and trendy!
"3. Abbot Kinney: It's my all-time-favorite area to walk around, shop, and eat, and it's right next to Venice Beach."
