This weekend, while taking a break from online shopping for work, I decided to do some in-person shopping for some much-needed fall inspiration. Sure, it was 90° with a dew point of one million, but my excitement for cashmere couldn't be stopped. One glance at the window displays at Banana Republic on 5th Avenue, and I knew my September budget was toast. Its fall collection is what anti-trend dreams are made of: a plethora of cashmere, herringbone everything, and brown suede accessories. After perusing this jackpot of fall essentials, I knew I needed to share my findings. If you're in the market for high-quality, luxe fall staples with an approachable price point, I've got every item you need below. Keep scrolling to shop my current favorites from the collection.
This collar is the exact preppy detail I'm looking for in my fall wardrobe.
These $150 trousers feel like they could cost $250 or more.
Talk about a timeless staple I'll never part with. This suede bag is it.

The slinky silk, the rich royal blue—I'm totally smitten with this dress.
Whenever I can't decide what to wear, reaching for this striped button-down, baggy jeans, and ballet flats is the easiest way to get out the door in style.
It wouldn't be a shopping roundup if I didn't include at least one denim shirt. This cropped, dark-wash version is the one I want.
I love an oversize blazer as much as the next fashion editor, but this cropped styles feels fresher for 2023.
I knew I loved Banana Republic's apparel offerings, but its jewelry selection is low-key blowing me away.
I was struggling to find a long denim skirt that feels interesting to me, and then this A-line skit with panel seams caught my eye.
This is the fancy black boot to reach for when you're going to a work event or dinner date.
Hot pink is not my jam, but this pretty polo certainly is.
I'm already thinking about this mini styled with equestrian-style boots.
I'm calling it: This is the brown suede crossbody to wear for fall.
