5 Dress Styles to Wear to Your Engagement Party
So you’ve just gotten engaged and you’re making a big step toward an even bigger milestone—congratulations! Now it’s time to celebrate. Planning your engagement party shouldn’t be stressful, especially when you’re planning on what to wear. However, you can also take this occasion to set the tone of your wedding style with a chic engagement party dress.
Of course, with the number of options to choose from, it can be hard to decide what type of dress you want to wear to your party. So we asked Lily Kaizer, owner of Happy Isles in Los Angeles, and Shelley Brown, fashion and beauty editor at The Knot, what they’re seeing future brides wear to celebrate this season.
“’90s minimal crepe minis or slip dresses are popular or party dresses with a hint of sparkle or feathers,” Kaizer tells us. “The goal with the engagement party outfit is to set the tone, not to go all out (that’s what the wedding weekend is for!).” Brown also says engagement parties are the perfect time for the bride to have fun with her outfit without too much pressure. “A short dress with feathers, fringe, or allover white sequins are all great options for this laid-back celebratory event.”
Now shop these trends for your upcoming party— these dresses alone are worth celebrating.
