Fall's Biggest Color Trend Popped Off on the Emmys Red Carpet
As an editor, candidly, I must admit that I have a love-hate relationship with award season. On one hand, I regularly roll my eyes when celebrities fail to follow the Met Gala theme or fail to conjure up the juicy VMA gossip I live off of. On the other hand, being able to cheer on the Emmy-nominated geniuses like Michaela Coel or see the work of some of the best stylists in the game is a delight. But possibly the best thing of all is the red carpet looks. In many ways, they cement the trends and the times. And if we’re being honest, the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards did not come to play.
From the red carpet ensembles to the stunning beauty looks, everything was on point. But the best moment wasn’t one single look. Rather it was the adaptation of one of fall’s biggest trends: saturated shades. What better way to pop on the red carpet than sporting a crimson red, kelly green, cobalt, violet, fuchsia, tangerine, or canary yellow? This evening, saturated shades were all over the Emmys red carpet, making it the trend to cop for fall. But you don’t have to take my word for it. Ahead, you’ll find the color trend worn by nominees along with pieces to shop in the colors that popped off on the Emmys red carpet.
