Emma Watson Opens Up About Sexism in Hollywood
Hollywood has some big problems: The Guardian interviewed a bunch of prominent actors on the sexism they've encountered while working in Hollywood. Emma Watson, in particular, kept it real in her concrete depiction of the sexism she's encountered: "I have experienced sexism in that I have been directed by male directors 17 times and only twice by women. Of the producers I've worked with, 13 have been male and only one has been a woman." [The Guardian]
Two power women: Lena Dunham interviewed Hillary Clinton for the latest edition of her Lenny newsletter, and the presidential candidate briefly discussed her sartorial choices: "I'm hardly a fashion icon, but I do love to fool around with fashion and have some fun with it. You've got to still have fun in all of these different roles that you're in or I'm in or anybody is in their life." [Racked]
LOL: Michelle Obama opened up about the things she can't wait to do once she and husband Barack Obama leave the White House. Topping her list: shopping at Target and opening windows. "One day as a treat, my lead security agent let me open the windows in the car five minutes out from Camp David," Obama reminisces. "He was like, the window's open! Enjoy it!" [PopSugar]
Over his dead body: Giorgio Armani promises that while he is still alive, his brand will not be sold out from under him. The 81-year-old designer told the crowd at his runway show in Milan that the company will remain "independent" as long as he is running it. [Vogue]
Now it all makes sense: Kylie Jenner has finally shared exactly why she is always changing her hair so drastically. "I've just had this addiction to changing my hair. It makes me feel like a new person. I love feeling different, and I love leaving the house knowing that nobody has ever seen me this way. It's hard for me to go back to styles I've worn before; that makes me feel like I'm going back in time. It's like I'm going back to that moment a year ago and I just don't want to be in that space." Hailing from the heart of the South and cutting her teeth on the mean streets of New York, Meghan has six years of experience covering fashion, style, celebrities, culture, and human behavior. A longtime devotee of rap music, tacos, and generally perfect weather, she is excited to put down roots in Los Angeles.
