31 Elegant Items I'm Shopping in Fall's Biggest Color Trends
Experts say the one driving force for customers when shopping is color. The right hue can take anyone on the fence about a garment from a "maybe" to an "absolutely." Brands take note of the impact that color has on consumer behavior, and every season, certain shades begin to trend higher than others. We see them on the runways during fashion month, on our social media, and in the closets of our favorite fashion people and celebrities. With the arrival of autumn, it's time to take a look at which color trends will make my wardrobe look as chic and elevated as possible. After doing some research, I landed on six fall color trends that I can't wait to wear this season.
Keep scrolling to see which color trends made the cut and get your hands on a few products in those hues.
Chocolate Brown
If there was one color that encapsulates a luxurious fall vibe, it's chocolate brown. It's an elevated neutral with a little more warmth than its black and white counterparts. I have a chocolate-brown cashmere sweater, and I feel like my net worth goes up every time I put it on.
Burgundy
We predicted that burgundy would be a big color trend for fall 2024, and unsurprisingly, we were right. I wait all summer long to bust out this deep hue of bordeaux. It works well in leather and patent fabrics, so I highly recommend trying this colorway out in a bag or shoes. The burgundy button-down shirt shown above is so good I'm currently on the hunt for one of my own.
Butter Yellow
Butter yellow reigned supreme all summer, and it looks like this color trend is still making its way onto fashion-month runways and into the fall wardrobes of my favorite fashion people and celebrities. There is something so pretty and delicate about this color that I can't get enough of, so I'm happy it's sticking around for another season.
Heather Gray
With office siren looks trending and luxury fashion brands like Bottega Veneta and Prada loving heather gray, it's no wonder this color is trending for fall 2024. There is something so sophisticated and polished about it. Gone are the days of thinking of gray as a dull and boring color.
Cherry Red
Who doesn't love a pop of red? During the fall months, we tend to avoid the bolder hues, but cherry red is always the exception. Wether you're looking for a colorful sweater or trying out a pair of red tights, this color reads stylish, bold, fun, and expensive all at the same time.
Camel
The quiet luxury trend is still here, and with it comes its champion hue—camel. Brunello Cucinelli, The Row, and Khaite all have several camel pieces in their current and past collections, reinforcing the idea that this warm neutral is anything but beige. Camel just exudes a rich-person aura that many other colors haven't mastered. I have a camel coat that I always pull out when I want to feel rich.
