Every time I open my Instagram lately, I am bombarded with one winter trend more than any of the others. It seems winter 2023 is all about dainty, pretty detailing. Of course, there are still elements of the winter trends we see cycle through every year: velvet fabrics, sparkly pieces for the holidays, and lots of cashmere. But this holiday season, influencers, fashion people, and celebrities alike are all going down a much prettier path. Bow motifs, satin fabrics, ballet flats, and rosettes (to name a few) are dominating my Instagram feed and TikTok For You page.

From adding a bow hair accessory to your look to reaching for a knit in bubblegum pink to swapping your regular flat sneakers for dainty ballet flats, there are so many things you can do to up the pretty factor in your outfit. Certain brands have this pretty factor built into their brand DNA—including Sandy Liang, For Love & Lemons, and Reformation—making them the perfect places to start when looking to give this trend a try. But it's not just them. Other brands that you wouldn't normally think of have gotten on board with all things pretty, such as J.Crew and Zara.
