7 No-Brainer Outfits to Make Labor Day Dressing as Easy as It Should Be
Summer may be coming to an end, but that doesn't mean your streak of cool, cute, and comfortable outfits has to stop with it. After all, fall—which is undeniably the year's best season for fashion—is taking its place. And even before that, we still have Labor Day to dress for. That’s right. The upcoming holiday weekend is the unofficial goodbye party for warm weather. I would like to make it count as we have a few other occasions to dress for.
Of course, that doesn’t mean we need to put a lot of effort into it. Thanks to the internet and, more specifically, Instagram, countless outfit ideas are just waiting to be emulated. All it takes is a little research (which I’ve already gone ahead and done for us), and some deciding on which look most speaks to you. Just keep scrolling to see and shop the seven stylish-but-easy Labor Day outfits that will have you excited for summer’s unofficial end.
Outfit 1:
Any printed slip dress is good enough on its own, but add a tied button-down shirt, and you suddenly have an outfit that feels particularly fresh.
Outfit 2:
Get in those white-jeans moments while you still can, and pair them with your favorite black top and comfortable sandals.
Outfit 3:
What better way to close out spring and summer than with the casual outfit that, undeniably, defined the two seasons?
Outfit 4:
If your plans revolve around the pool, make a statement in a colorful suit, shirt, and bucket hat.
Outfit 5:
Looking to go out with a bang? Throw on your favorite matching set, and add any sandals of your choosing.
Outfit 6:
If, like me, you're already itching to start wearing your fall-ready jeans, pair them with a trendy scarf top and neutral sandals for an easy, off-duty look.
Outfit 7:
If your goal is to be comfortable but still cool, might I suggest an oversize tee paired with athletic shorts and "sporty" leather sandals?

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. Upon joining, she was a senior about to graduate from business school at USC. Fast-forward to 2025, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was just starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content and her Trust Me—Buy This newsletter. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to neutral, classic pieces but will always make an exception for something colorful or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a party is dressing up for one. On her downtime, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
