The Fashion Crowd Is Hooked on These 3 Simple Fall Trends
After scrolling through my Saved folder on Instagram, I began to notice a pattern. There were a few key trends that graced the feeds of many of my favorite fashion accounts. To be honest, I’ve been wanting to test out some of the looks myself. While each of the trends is unique, they’re all simple in nature and easy to style. They’re essentially next-level basics because they’re versatile and could be mixed and matched with a variety of other pieces to create elevated silhouettes.
One of the items is the covetable tailored vest—you know, like the one Kendall Jenner recently wore. This piece brings a directional spin to any look and could be worn on its own with pants or layered over a blouse, tee, or long-sleeve shirt. I’m taking a deeper dive into the waistcoat and two other trends below by showcasing how a variety of style-setters are embracing the simple fall trends in question. I also included various product recommendations in case you’re interested in trying one of the looks.
1. Oversize Shirt
A button-down shirt is a classic piece, and the oversize fit feels so modern paired with jeans.
A shirt in a pastel color is also quite chic for the season.
Bring on the layered look with an oversize shirt on top of a tank or tee with wide-leg pants.
2. Loose Jeans
The denim cut of the moment would undoubtedly be loose jeans for an effortless vibe.
Dark-wash jeans are also a key trend of the season. Pair a knit or long-sleeve shirt with the jeans, and you're set.
Distressed jeans look very of the moment with a relaxed blazer and sneakers.
3. Tailored Vest
A tailored vest is great on its own for these warmer temps styled with high-waisted jeans.
A denim vest or a printed iteration is also sleek for the season.
Opt for a vest with coordinating trousers for a streamlined look. You could also incorporate a blouse and blazer into this look once fall does come around.
