The 5 Outfit Ideas Fashion Person Wear That Are Chic and Not Crazy Trendy

If you’re interested in a few easy outfit ideas to consider in your day-to-day, you’ve landed in the right spot. That’s right. I’m here to bring you a curation of the five formulas basically every fashion person I know wears (including my colleagues here at Who What Wear). In terms of the types of ensembles, I’m referring to looks that are more on the elevated-casual side, rather than super formal or business attire. Specifically, outfits that are chic in nature, but not crazy trendy—featuring more of those next-level basics.
Below you’ll uncover the ensembles in question. As you’ll notice, each fashion person-favorite formula is certainly forward and feels modern, but isn’t super fussy. This is the primary reason these general looks are popular among style setters. If you’re interested in adding something new to your own wardrobe, there are inspired shopping picks for each outfit as well.
Blazer + Tee + Jeans
This is one look legit everyone I know wears in some iteration featuring a blazer, white tee, and jeans. While these baggy jeans are certainly trend-forward, any denim silhouette works!
Button-Up Shirt + Skirt
For a polished and effortless silhouette, don't underestimate the power of a striped shirt teamed with a skirt. Simple yet striking.
White Tee + Shorts
This is a no-fail summer look that just works with the white crewneck tee tucked into tailored shorts. The belt and the flat sandals complete the vibe.
Tank + Jeans
A tank is one of those basics that pairs flawlessly with just about anything, including a pair of jeans. This ensemble is just so effortlessly chic.
Black Dress + Sandals
You can't go wrong with a throw-on-and-go black dress. This look is impossibly elegant and totally fuss-free.
