7 Fall Trends I'm Not Waiting Another Second to Shop
A fun fact about me is that I've never been relaxed ever. Okay, maybe that's a bit dramatic, but the viral TikTok audio is the perfect way to describe my shopping habits right now. You'll probably think I'm out of it for admitting this, but I'm already anxious to start planning my fall wardrobe. I know, I know—we're only halfway through the summer, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't already feeling the exhaustion of talking about and shopping for warmer weather. It may only be mid-July, but you can't blame me for looking ahead to fall dressing.
Sure, it's still on the early end for fall shopping, but retailers from Mango to Moda Operandi have already begun dropping next-season items in their new-arrivals sections. And you can bet that I'm all over them. So whether you're jumping the gun on fall shopping like I am or are simply craving something fresh to look at, I have just the edit for you. Today, I'm highlighting seven early fall trends—from clogs to knit sets to the next going-out piece—that will be popping off in a few months' time and that you can start shopping for now. When the trends are this good, why wait?
1. Clogs
These cow-print clogs have been on my wish list for a while now, so fall 2021 might have to be the moment I finally take the plunge.
These classic clogs may have started it all, but they've never been trendier.
2. Sleek Leather Jackets
I'm not the only Who What Wear editor who's freaking out about this perfect leather topper.
I haven't thought of bomber jackets as trendy in a while, but this leather version feels very right now.
The chances of me splurging on this piece are high. Just look at those buttons!
3. Pin Tops
If you look closely, you'll notice the metal clip spells out Jacquemus.
Emily Ratajkowski wore this top, and it's been mostly sold out ever since.
4. Ribbed Skirt Sets
Aya Muse makes the cool basics that fashion insiders all obsess over.
I'm seeing this column-skirt shape everywhere and predict it will be big for fall.
This comes in a few other fall-ready colors, but the black is just so classic.
5. Really Relaxed Trousers
With a pair of pants this versatile, you just might forget about your jeans altogether.
6. Modern Hobo Bags
I have this in pink, and I wear it so often I might need the black version, too.
7. Tailored Vests
Style this with loose trousers and slides à la Kendall Jenner.
Don't miss the matching trousers.
