Celebs in Their 60s and 70s Stole the Show in Dior's Front Row
Welcome to Runway Matters, where we're delivering notes straight from the runway so you can quickly digest the most important trends and noteworthy moments from the F/W 18 shows.
It's the question at the top of our minds every fashion month: What does Maria Grazia Chiuri have up her sleeve at Dior this season? Well, to sum up the answer: a lot. For instance, this season's vibrant, colorful set was inspired by the 1968 uprisings in France, which saw protests against capitalism, traditional values, and other issues. The pieces also reflected the idea of resistance, including a notable slogan sweater with the words "C’est non, non, non, et NON!" meaning "It's no, no, no, and NO."
Off the runway, the front row was impeccably well-dressed. Over-60 ladies Bianca Jagger and Isabelle Huppert led the pack in ridiculously stylish outfits, while Cara Delevingne and Aimee Song were similarly dressed to impress. Read on to see all the highlights from the show.

The Slogan Sweater of the Resistance
Remember the brand's cult "We Should All Be Feminists" T-shirt? For fall, the slogan tee is transformed into a slogan sweater that's emblazoned with the words "C’est non, non, non, et NON!," meaning "It's no, no, no, and NO." We have a feeling it will be the new must-have item.
The Strong Suit
Ladies, it's time to jump on board with the power suit. Dior showed several different versions of suits, from a sleek black version to a cool plaid iteration.
The Graphic Tees
How should we be styling graphic tees for fall? Dior presented plenty of options, from a blazer and diaphanous A-line skirt to a cozy cardigan and pencil skirt. Pick your poison.

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
