Dakota Johnson's Latest Outfit Combo Really Shouldn't Work—but We're Obsessed

A-listers can often play it safe on the red carpet (very few stars really push the style boundaries), but Dakota Johnson isn't afraid of doing her own thing. At the Hollywood Reporter Power Stylists Dinner in L.A. last night, Dakota joined her stylist, Kate Young, wearing an outfit that really really shouldn't work but is actually quite genius.

She wore a red suede tunic layered over a pair of matching red suede cropped trousers and then added clashing unexpected accessories. She wore satin slip-on sandals in a contrasting red and a gold suede Ascot handbag by The Row. The tunic-over-trousers and sandals scream grandma, but we love it as it looks like a totally fresh outfit idea.
