5 Instagram Poses That Have Already Gone Viral in 2022
If you're a follower of fashion Instagram, you're likely fully aware that posing trends are a thing. They can be short-lived, though, so trying them while they're still fresh is key if you care about striking while the iron is hot.
When it comes to Instagram posts, fashion people usually want to capture a mood, show off their outfits and/or accessories, and keep things interesting by having a variety of types of photos. Oh, and they don't want to look like they're trying too hard. So yeah, there are a lot of factors that come along with something as minor as an Instagram pose, which is probably why the ones that meet most of the aforementioned criteria really stick.
As one does when part of their job is to look at Instagram, I've been taking note of the recurring poses as I scroll through my feed, and here they are all in one place. Read on for my findings and to shop pieces that each trend highlights.
Vehicle Vibes
Posing in the passenger seat, back seat, or driver's seat (while in park, of course) is a good way to break up your feed from sunny-day-outfit posts. It also serves as a natural way to display a bag, top, or jacket.

The Stairwell Stare
Posing in a stairwell can come with its set of challenges, such as lighting, but it makes up for it with the great angles and cool POV it provides.

Up Above
Taking a selfie from above (usually from the neck down) is a fresh way to capture an outfit—as long as you don't care about getting your shoes in the shot.

Art Gaze
One of the biggest Instagram trends to emerge from 2021 has carried into the new year: staring at a piece of art at a museum or gallery. It shows off both the artwork and your outfit.

Love to Watch You Leave
If you want to show off your bag, the best way to do so is from the back and at an angle, either walking away or standing still. It's hard to mess this one up.
