Forget It Bags, It's All About These 4 It Dresses Right Now
There are some items that you always see again and again in street style pictures (case in point—Gucci's horsebit loafers). Over in New York this week, we've seen plenty of Balenciaga triangle bags and knife mules, however, the items that are getting the most air time of all are these four bold dresses. The beauty of each of these frocks is that they require little to no styling, so they are guaranteed to turn heads no matter how you decide to wear them. Net-a-Porter's Lisa Aiken and Teen Vogue's editor in chief Elaine Welteroth are just two of the front row stars who have leaned on DVF's gold printed dress this week. Meanwhile, street style favourites Tamu McPherson and Jan-Michael Quammie's pink and green dresses are so good they could even convert those who only wear black to make a purchase.
Scroll below to see—and shop—the four dresses that are dominating the NYFW street style scene right now.
The Party Season Winner
Net-a-Porter's Lisa Aiken and Teen Vogue's editor in chief Elaine Welteroth are just two of the show-goers in New York who have worn this gold printed Diane von Furstenberg dress. Since Jonathan Saunders became the chief creative officer in 2016, he has been pushing DVF forward, introducing new, more modern shapes to the mix such as this midi with a high neckline and dramatic slit.
Style Notes: Lisa Aiken paired hers with an oversized yellow Simon Miller bag.

The Modern Princess Dress
This midi dress with puffball sleeves, ties and a cinched-in waist has become a signature silhouette for Rejina Pyo, but this season, it's all about this bright pink iteration, which has been worn by Jan-Michael Quammie and Veronika Heilbrunner.
Style Notes: Veronika Heilbrunner clashes hers with bright yellow flatform trainers.
Style Notes: Jan-Michael Quammie plays with accessories, adding clashing red sunglasses and a boxy handbag.
The Green Crinkly Showstopper
Now this Tibi dress is one of those items that on paper sounds horrendous—shimmery green, sleeved, crinkly fabric, high necked AND boxy shoulders? But somehow it works, and it has been a favourite with the street style photographers.
Style Notes: This green dress looks amazing with white block glove shoes.
Style Notes: Add red lipstick like Tamu, and you are good to go.
The Polka-Dot Tunic
Courtney Tropp and Jessie Bush both wore Zimmermann's polka-dot tunic dress at the same time, but they prove that it can be styled in different ways. Courtney wore hers with socks and chunky trainers, while Courtney made it look far more polished with a Simon Miller bag and fluffy mules.
Style Notes: Jessie Bush and Courtney Tropp prove this can be dressed up or down.
Next up, Mansur Gavriel bags changed our lives, and now the brand is making clothes.
