Let's get one thing clear: There's no hard and fast rule when it comes to "dressing for your age"—you'll always look your best wearing whichever clothes you feel good in. In case you needed a refresher in style that knows no age, may I refer you to the wickedly stylish Maye Musk? But if you do find yourself looking for pieces that contribute to a younger-looking appearance, we've found a few surefire fashion items that will serve as a sartorial fountain of youth.

We spoke with celebrity stylist Anita Patrickson, who shared the one denim trend that's sure to freshen things up and keep anyone looking their best. "If I had to pick one fab denim trend that everyone can pull off it's the high-waisted, wide or straight leg," Patrickson told Who What Wear. "Cropped has been a huge trend during the summer, but as we move into fall, we'll be seeing the longer, more covered cousin making an appearance. I think it's about finding the fit for you—if you opt for something figure-hugging (that usually feels a little younger) or a looser more relaxed fit (tends to work better on the trendier set)."

Ready to embrace the high-waisted, cropped flare trend? Go on to get inspired by how women of every age are wearing the style and then shop our denim edit.
