Why You Need a Piece of Crochet in Your Wardrobe This Summer

In the warmer Australian months, we can suffer through days that are so humid and so sticky that wearing clothes feels nearly impossible. The recent S/S 19 runways in September proved crochet is making a fast comeback, and on days where it's simply too hot to wear clothes (and you're not in the office), crochet is the best option.
Whether you prefer a heavier layer, or something light and simple, every style of crochet can be styled in a way that looks effortless.
Dior sent crochet down the runway over a t-shirt dress, Altuzarra transformed it into an elevated beach-side look, Michael Kors brought a heavier knit into the mix and Chloé—along with Sonia Rykiel—showed us that crochet can be a bit edgy as well.
Read on to peep some of our favourite crochet runway moments and shop some of the styles on our radar.
