Run, Don't Walk: 21 of the Best Nontoxic Beauty Products Are Temporarily Cheap
Sharing is caring, which is why my fellow beauty editors and I want to drop a helpful little hint: Thursday, October 21 through Sunday, October 24 is most definitely the most strategic day to stock up on your fave nontoxic beauty staples. (Plus, any other natural, clean, and/or organic formulas that have been loitering on your wish list.) The reason? Credo's once-a-year Friends & Family Sale has officially descended and almost every single brand stocked on the retailer's shelves (IRL and digital) is a whopping 20% off. Folks, that's over 130 of our favorite clean beauty brands! Think Tata Harper, Kosas, Ilia… the list goes on and on.
To get you in the mood, we each decided to reveal seven choice beauty products we highly recommend buying on the cheap while the opportunity presents itself. That said, if you'd like even more shopping inspiration, you can peruse Credo's newest product additions, the retailer's tried-and-true best sellers, A+ gift ideas, and a selection of offerings that make it easy to segue your routine to the cleaner and greener side if you're keen to make that transition.
Your 20% discount will be applied at checkout, whether you're shopping with a mouse and keypad or IRL, and remember to act fast since this is only a once-per-year, four-day-only shindig. Keep scrolling! 21 editor-approved picks are just below.

This is the best nontoxic foundation (and coordinating primer!) I have ever tried, and in fact, they're the only clean options I keep in my regular rotation. Plus, they're infused with so many amazing plant-based ingredients, it's like you're wearing a full face of glow-boosting skincare, not makeup.
This luxurious facial treatment might come out of the pot a gorgeous shade of purple, but as you massage it into your skin, it melts into your complexion to deliver the most radiant of finishes.
Simply put, people go wild whenever I wear this particular scent from DedCool. It's a dreamy concoction of juniper berries, pomelo, saffron, black violet, crystal rose, blonde woods, raspberry, vetiver, and it hits on another level entirely. I'm not one to peer pressure, but you need this.
This shine-inducing lip balm from Westman Atelier is a dream come true for anyone who loves a really juicy lip moment but doesn't want to compromise on safe, high-quality ingredients. Enriched with organic goodness, this lip balm translates like a gloss thanks to its epic shine factor while simultaneously delivering a subtle hint of color to enhance your natural lip color.
Call me basic, but this nutrient-dense body lotion from Weleda is, hands down, one of my favorite beauty products I own. That said, this isn't your basic body lotion. If you crave the glistening, glimmering finish body oils leave behind but just can’t stomach the stick and slide factors, you’ll go nuts for this clean, completely natural formula. It leaves you with that same insane skin gleam but applies, looks, and sinks in like a lotion. It absorbs quickly, but the glow and hydration will last however long you wear it before your next bath or shower sesh.
Replace your serum collection with this one which features a skin-boosting roster of ingredients like hyaluronic acid, K-beauty fermented fares, and amla. I swear on my life it’s a dupe for all others that are triple this baby’s price and it will give your skin the best, glass-like gleam.
This pencil delivers the perfect amount of pigment, and the shape of the tip is great for definition, shading, and filling in your brows whichever way tickles your fancy. Plus, Kosas, per usual, took its pencil to the way next level by infusing it with hair growth-promoting ingredients like castor oil and panthenol provitamin B5. Oh, and is it just me, or does the adorable packaging give off Lisa Frank/Jelly Roll pen vibes?! Super into it

"These divine blush sticks from legendary makeup artist Gucci Westman are, indeed, an investment. That said, if you have the bandwidth to really treat yourself, you won't regret this purchase. (Especially when they're on sale!) The color range is punchy and glorious, and better yet, the ingredients are deliciously creamy, clean, and good for your skin to boot."
"Katie is our in-house perfume aficionado, so when she says to jump on a new scent, we pretty much leap. Perfect for fall and winter, wrap yourself up with this fireside medley of amber, vanilla orchid, Virginia cedarwood, and musk-spiked magic."
"Sure, there are tons of hyaluronic acid serums out there, but sodium hyaluronate is a smaller molecule, which means it’s able to penetrate your skin on a deeper level, leaving you more hydrated. This plant-based serum is full of sodium hyaluronate and citric acid, which works to reduce the appearance of fine lines."
"Summer might be over, but that doesn't mean you need to retire your sunscreen or this new tinted SPF foundation hybrid from Tower 28. It boasts a light to medium buildable coverage, helps protect your skin from sun damage, blue light, and environmentally induced redness. Fun fact, it's the first and only complexion makeup product with the National Eczema Association's Seal of Acceptance."
"Beauty editors wax poetic about Ilia's OG mascara, but we highly recommend you put this new volume-boosting iteration on your wish list. It will make even the most sparse lashes look full, fluttery, thick, and ultra-long. Wear it for as long as you want, because your application will always look freshly applied."
"This hybrid lip balm/gloss/oil is a true gem. Give it a swipe, and your lips will immediately look plumper and smoother while feeling significantly more hydrated. We stay stocked in every shade."
"If you try one new haircare brand this season, make it Ceremonia. Thoughtfully formulated for all hair types and textures, this lush leave-in tops thirsty strands up with essential hydration while simultaneously nourishing, repairing, and strengthening."
Shawna Hudson, Associate Beauty Editor
"This oil-based facial serum with SPF 30 Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB protection is great for everyone, but it's particularly ideal for those with mature or extra-dry skin."
"Victoria Beckham loves this youth-enhancing body oil. Do we even need to continue?"
"So many CBD-enriched facial products smell like straight-up weed. (There, we said it.) This one, however, does not. Despite all the potent plants in Saint Jane's cult-loved formula, its scent is completely lovely (think rose meets sandalwood) and will give your skin an unparalleled hit of luminosity."
"If you're someone who deals with oily skin, congestion, or breakouts, this overnight complexion targeting oil would be a strategic addition to your regimen. Black cumin seed and vegetable charcoal help vacuum out your pores while you log your beauty sleep and you'll wake up to fresher, dewier skin come morning."
"Touted as a 'miracle juice,' this dreamy skin tonic is one part toner one part juicy serum, and the most effortless antidote if you're into radiant, bouncy, megawatt brightness."
"This medium-to-full coverage concealer is packed with potent ingredients to immediately camouflage dark circles while imparting a luminous, ultra-brightening effect. The powerful formula featuring arnica, panthenol, caffeine, peptides, and hyaluronic acid is truly impressive, and the thirsty skin around your eyes will definitely thank you."
"This beautiful spray should come with an addiction warning. Moroccan neroli and Turkish rose flowers offer the most refreshing complexion boost and anytime pick-me-up, whether or not you're wearing a full face of makeup or going bare for the day."

She now calls Santa Monica home but grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and studied writing, rhetoric, and communication at University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. She studied abroad in Galway, Ireland, and spent a summer in L.A. interning with the Byrdie and Who What Wear family. After graduating from UW, she spent one year in San Francisco, where she worked as a writer for Pottery Barn Kids and PBteen before moving down to L.A. to begin her career as a beauty editor. She considers her day-to-day beauty aesthetic very low-maintenance and relies on staples like clear brow serum (from Kimiko!), Lawless's Lip Plumping Mask in Cherry Vanilla, and an eyelash curler. For special occasions or days when she's taking more meetings or has an event, she'll wear anything and everything from Charlotte Tilbury (the foundations are game-changing), some shimmer on her lids (Stila and Róen do it best), and a few coats of the best mascara-type product on earth, Surratt's Noir Lash Tint.
