4 Cozy Accessories I'm Wearing on Repeat This Winter
I grew up in Southern California, so dressing for winter doesn't exactly come naturally to me. As an avid skier, I've learned through trial and error which are the essential pieces when temperatures are low, and those pieces are accessories. We all know that accessories make an outfit, but in the winter, that rings especially true. Yes, the coat and layers underneath are important, but adding key accessories to prevent exposed skin will make or break your day.
This winter has been particularly brutal for much of the U.S., so I'm sure I'm not the only one who's been living in their coziest items. I've hyperfixated on four accessories that have become my official winter uniform—I would truly freeze without them. From oversize scarves to shearling-lined shoes, these are the hero pieces that have been keeping me warm all season. Below, I'm highlighting the cozy accessories I can't do winter without.
SCARVES
My winter motto is no exposed skin, so adding an oversize scarf protects your neck and face from the elements. It's also a chance to add a pop of color or texture to your outfit, allowing personal style to shine during an otherwise drab time of year.
HATS
Whether it's a knit beanie, furry cap, or shearling-lined style, a hat perfectly marries style and function. Not only does it keep your head warm, but it also adds another element of interest to your layered look.
GLOVES
I have poor circulation to begin with, so my fingers are always the first to suffer when temperatures drop. A pair of gloves is an absolute must, and designers are having fun with this category right now—from sleek leather to teddybear textures.
SHEARLING-LINED SHOES
With so many chic shearling-adorned footwear out there right now, this one was a no-brainer. Not only does the fuzzy lining keep your feet warm, but the texture also adds a cozy element to any outfit. I feel warmer just looking at it.
