33 Ethereal Eye-Candy Dresses From Couture Week
More than ever, I've been thinking of fashion as a refreshing and enjoyable escape from real life. And nothing is as fun as scrolling through photos of extravagant, artful couture looks that practically belong in a museum. Luckily, it's officially Couture Week in Paris right now, with designers like Chanel and Valentino presenting spring 2021 collections. The settings might be more subdued than normal, but rest assured, the sumptuous outfits are anything but.
The Chanel show was a saccharine delight with frothy pink confections, diaphanous dresses, and all-around beautiful pieces. Valentino, on the other hand, invested more into slinky metallic gowns with occasional pops of vibrant colors like turquoise and yellow. Giambattista Valli, Iris van Herpen, and Schiaparelli also outdid themselves this season, especially considering the many quarantine restrictions. Scroll down to see the most ethereal couture dresses from the new spring 2021 shows, and check back as we update throughout the week.

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 14 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Kate and Meghan stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible.
