The 5 Coolest Denim Trends Spotted at Coachella
Our feeds were filled to the brim with palm trees, tie-dye, sundresses, and that famous Ferris wheel this weekend because all the festival-going people we follow on Instagram headed to Coachella, of course. Love it or hate it, the music festival brings out some of the coolest, wackiest, most fun, and free-spirited sartorial delights to the California desert over two weekends in April, and we’re here to bring you some of the best outfits we’ve seen so far. Today, we’re honing in on the denim trends we spotted at the festival—because let’s face it nothing says Coachella quite like a pair of denim cut-off shorts. Scroll below to see the coolest denim trends we spotted at the fun-loving festival and how fashion girls are styling them.
Long Denim Shorts
Sure, short denim cut-offs will forever live on at Coachella, but this year we saw cool girls everywhere sporting a longer bike short silhouette—worn with belt bags and crop tops.

Loose-Fit 90s Jeans
Baggy jeans are having a major moment right now, and everyone from Hailey Baldwin to Kaia Gerber was seen wearing high-waisted loose-fit iterations at the festival.
Shop the trend:
Acid Wash
The '80s acid-wash trend was seen in full force at Coachella in the form of denim shorts, skirts, and baggy jeans.
Shop the trend:
Janties
While longer denim shorts were having a moment at Coachella, so were shorts of the polar opposite length. Call them short-shorts, denim underwear, or janties—they were seen on brave and confident women all around the festival.
Shop the trend:
White Jeans
From cropped wide-leg silhouettes seen on Kate Bosworth to high-rise skinny styles seen on Emily Ratajowski, celebs and festivalgoers alike opted for white jeans to beat the heat in style.
Shop the trend:
Distressed Denim
The laid-back, rock-chic vibe of distressed denim makes it the best option for fashion girls at the festival.
