Mindy Kaling Wore the Official "Ugly" Shoe Trend of 2021

In case you haven't caught on, Mindy Kaling is one of the most committed #OOTD celebrity Instagrammers. She regularly blesses us with her cute outfits when she's not making hilarious The Office memes. She'll be in a beautiful Rodarte dress one day and in tie-dye sweatpants the next—and that's what I love about her. Kaling's latest Instagram post happens to feature the polarizing shoe trend that will become even bigger in 2021: clogs.

We've already reported on the proliferation of clogs on the runways and on influencers, so it's no surprise that celebs will be jumping on board as well. Kaling wore Tory Burch cow-print clogs that have since sold out, along with an A.L.C. skirt and a JW Anderson bag. Clogs might not be everyone's cup of tea, but that's certainly not going to slow the trend down. Scroll down to see how Kaling wore clogs and shop the trend.

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
